DEFINITION :

It is the policy of Ramada Resort Camakila Bali to ensure every case will
handle and investigate properly. Theft or Lost report to be record and filed.
PROCEDURE:

When a guest reports a possible theft, a report must always be filed. As


the guest whether the items are insured and offer to contact the police if
they wish to file a report. Security Officers are to follow the procedures
below to investigate an incident when receiving reports of complaints,
thefts or lost items:
COMPLAINT OF THEFT (guest room):

Security Personnel should:


1) Conduct a search of the area where item(s) was/were last seen or
handled
(with the guests permission).
2) Question employees within the immediate area, if applicable.
3) Question person (guests or non-guests) who were in the general
vicinity
when the items we reported lost.

4) Check with the Lost and Found section of Housekeeping


Department whether
Particular items were turned in.
5. When the police are involved in an investigation, note on the
report the officers
name, unit number and case number assigned.
6. Have an officer interrogate the lock if it is an electronic door lock.
7. Fill out the Security Report as soon as possible.
Note if surveillance cameras (floor and exit) captured any information:
a) Person going in and out
b) Person leaving with packages
c) Unidentified workmen

possible concerning lost items:

If item is not found, fill out a Lost and Found inquiry.
Ensure that the necessary information is recorded in the daily log. The
vitality of this information is later required when important statistics are
needed for other reports.
