The character that interest me the most in the story is John Taylor. Evidence 1
First, I like John Taylor because he is a very determined person.
Elaboration(E.1)After he accidentally met his doppelganger, he set his mind to find the truth.
Here turned to the place he found the man and waited almost every day in the hope that he would
meet him. He asked people and searched through newspaper article about a man named Janos
Szabo, who had lived at the place in 1945.
His determination paid off and he understood why the doppelganger came to find

Besides, he is also a brave person.Elaboration(E.2)He thought he had found a
ghost, nevertheless, he goes all out to find out the truth. Not many people are brave
enough to face such encounter. He was also brave enough to go into the burning caf to save his
wife.
Conclusion All in all, not only John Taylor a determined person, he is also brave
.Thesecharacteristics make him a very admirable person and that is why I admire him.

Andrea was a responsible, loving and caring wife and mother. Firstly, she cooked nice soups for John.

responsible mother to Kati. Next, she wanted John to spend his extra time with her and Kati. She did

want John to spend time on the doppelganger story. Andrea was a responsible, loving and caring wife and
mother. Firstly, she cooked nice soups for John. Secondly, Andrea was worried when John always had
bad dreams. She was afraid because she did not understand what was happening to John. Thirdly, after
John had told her about his problems, Andrea wanted to help him. She wanted to be supportive.
Andrea and John went to number7 Felka utca. They wanted to find out about the man. They asked two
housekeepers about the man. But both were not helpful. John was happy that Andrea was with him. She was a good
and responsible mother to Kati. She looked after her. She played with her. She took her out for a walk.
Next, she wanted John to spend his extra time with her and Kati. She did want John to spend time
on the doppelganger story. When she heard the explosion, she went with Kati to look for John.
She was afraid he was in the caf.

Based on the novel How I Met Myself by David A. Hill, the theme that can be found
is " Love . This theme is significant in this novel as it revolves around John Taylor and his
family. This can be seen from the way they take care of each other and stood by their spouses
through difficult times in life. Love is definitely around John Taylors family as Andrea supports
her husband through out the journey of their life. Never once in her life, that Andrea does not
believe in John Taylor and hisdoppelganger. She is a symbol of a loyal and loving wife, who
stands by her man, no matter what is happening to him. Finally, love is seen through John
Taylor. He is a responsible father and husband, even if he neglects his family for a while when
he is carried away in finding his doppelganger. John Taylor is a character with full of love and
care, he loves his wife unconditionally. In conclusion, love is widely seen in this novel through
the characters of John Taylor and Andrea, his wife. They are the symbols of eternal love in
these modern days, where love is not a language easily understood.
