TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM

Traditionally, extra weight at the top of the racquet frame has increased hitting power but reduced
the speed of racquet handling. In contrast, a lighter top to the frame increases speed but causes a
loss of hitting power.
For the first time, the new TRI-VOLTAGE SYSTEM successfully combines the contrasting
characteristics of exceptional power and great handling. YONEX has developed a racquet
which achieves the combination of heavy smashes and speedy racquet handling.

VOLTRIC IS POWER
The stiff racquet structure at the top of the
frame allows the head to bend in a very
controlled way and hold shuttles on the string
bed for longer. The thin frame sides then
allow the frame to flex more and transfer
more energy to the shuttle. This combination

In VOLTRIC, the weight is balanced on the top of
the frame and at the joint area which allows good

Another innovative YONEX technology, Sound Filter uses new materials at the two and ten oclock
positions to reduce only high pitched and dull soundwaves. This produces a louder and sharper

smash swing sequence shows that 70% of
a smash swing sequence is in an oblique
(angled) direction in relation to the
direction of the shuttle flight.

indicate the areas of fastest air flow and the
blue the slowest.
In testing, the air moves fastest around the
Z-SLASH frame whilst causing minimal air
disturbance in its wake. In contrast, the
conventional frame shape has reduced levels
of high speed air flow and causes increased
disturbance behind the frame.

The reduced shaft weight is transferred to the

grip and frame, realising a new dimension in
head-light racquets.

The new generation X-Fullerene has 4 radial

ribs which unite carbon atoms to form a
football-like structure. The X-Fullerene is used

The hardness of the skirt the feather part of the nylon shuttlecock
varies depending on temperature.
In the cold, as the skirt becomes hard, it is prone to breaking. In the hot,
the skirt becomes softer and less likely to break, but the feel at impact is
affected by the softer skirt.
YONEX manages product quality by categorising MAVIS into 3
temperatures. Please ensure that you choose the shuttlecock best suited to

Syncro-Fit Insole

New Upper Construction

The upper part of the shoe is constructed out of
only 5 sections, rather than the conventional 7
parts. This minimizes the number of overlapped
areas and the requirement for heavy stitching.

reduce overall shoe weight.

YONEX Syncro-Fit Insole allows a closer fit between shoe

and foot, keeping power loss to an absolute minimum to
