    PhD Admissions under Visvesvaraya PhD scheme 2015-16

    Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme for Electronics and IT
    Sponsored by DeitY, Government of India for Academic year 2015-16.

    ISM Dhanbad invites applications for DeitY sponsored PhD fellowship scheme under the National Policy on Electronics,
    Govt. of India for motivated students in the state-of-art Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) and IT/IT
    enabled Services (ITES) research areas.
    The salient features of the program are:

    Full time PhD program (a)

    Fellowship @ Rs. 22, 500 per month for 1st and 2nd year, and subsequently @ Rs. 25, 000 per month
    for 3rd, 4th, and 5th years. Maximum period of fellowship is five years.
    Reimbursement of Rent (ROR) for PhD student not availing Institute accommodation will be on actuals
    with upper ceiling of 30%, 20% and 10% of fellowship for class X, Y, Z cities respectively.
    Annual contingency grant @ Rs. 30, 000 per year per PhD student.
    PhD candidate is eligible to apply for an international travel support of upto Rs. 50, 000 from DeitY.

    Part time PhD


    (a)

    Part time PhD who does not avail of any PhD fellowship/scholarship/stipend from any Government
    Agency shall be provided one time incentive of Rs 2.50 lakh on successful completion of Ph D degree.
