1) What do you understand by the term cut order planning term cut order
planning?
Definition:- cut order planning is the process that seeks to minimize to
tootle production costs through planning and management of pre
production operations .
ding the most effective match of efficient nests for a specific cutting
order presents a challenge for even the best cut planners. Accounting for
the thousands of variables and possible solutions exceeds human capabilities
but not the optimizing capabilities of CUTPLAN.
Leveraging our advanced algorithms, CUTPLAN will automatically
simulate all possible combinations of existing and new nests for each cut to
find the one that best optimizes your exact production
requirements. CUTPLAN is currently saving 2% - 8% of material costs
for many top manufacturers
Advantage of using cut order plane
Material cost/cutting cost balancing
Save time in cut planning, spreading and cutting, free-up time for more
value-added tasks
Plan within material availability by length and width, various stock sizes
Full reporting to production control, nesting, and/or cutting room floor
Eliminate all manual cutting paperwork
Easy updating, viewing and printing of government and other long-term
contracts, showing quantities cut and quantities outstanding by month,
product, and size
In todays world Textile Industry apparel are being modernized day by day. Now a day,
the designs are used in different textiles manufacturing processes. Computerized marker
making method marker, designing and plotting doing by computer and computer related
equipments .now computerized maker making method is a most commend marker
making method using in garment industry.
What are the equipments of using to computerized marker making?
Relevant Computer
Plotter
Additional
digitizer table
Relevant Computer software (Gurbur, TOka,Lectra)
Efficiency going up mean fabric saving also going up. It is very important thing
because normally 60%-70% of total garment cost goes to raw fabric. If we use
Computerized marker making we can reduce garment cost.
3. 20% time saving has more than manual maker making
if using manual methods they have to draw marker using pattern pieces but if use
computerized method we can make maker using computer. That time computer
displayed efficiency, length, width like details. After make maker it send to plotter
and can print it very easy.
4. Can store and old makers vary easy
After make maker it send to plotter but normally computer operator save it in that
computer. We are going to store manual marker we want lot of space. Some time
repeating styles comes to factory some time old makers very useful
5. Can use one maker again and again
If they have large quantity cutting room have to make several makers one special thin
of computerized pattern making they can print lot of copies from one maker.
6. Can provide higher quality garments
No overlapping, can decide minimum distance and shape are very correct. Cutting
operators can cut easily
7. Can match stribe fabric and chek fabric
8. You can ingrigreat with other cutting machines
wecan send maker to cutter and cutter cutting pieces very correctly
Disadvantages
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Basic invest vary higher because this machine and software very expensive
Maintain cost higher
If break down waiting time long. It is big issue to continue production.
Higher skill operators
Have to update software. Update also very expensive
2. Pushing techniques :-suitable for elastic fabrics and stretchable knit fabrics.
Cutting process
Pattern making
Maker making
Spreading
Now apparel industry move with new technologies lot of companies use computerized cutting
methods. Using this method can achieve required shapes productivity like things .but Should
need a opera to feed the data and should use correct software .After make maker in manual
method have to get several copies and paste on upper lay of layers and cut suing manual
machine. But in new technology marker making computer and the cutting machine has direct
link. After make marker operator can send it to the cutter start cutting process
Advantages
Disadvantages
15) Find out the new developments in computerized cutting technology. prepare a
comprehensive note
Advantage:
Disadvantage:
also known as a waterjet, is a tool capable of slicing into metal or other materials (such
as granite)using a jet of water at high velocity and pressure, or a mixture of water and
an abrasive substance. The process is essentially the same as water erosion found in nature
but greatly accelerated and concentrated. It is often used during fabrication or
manufacture of parts for machinery and other devices. It is the preferred method when the
materials being cut are sensitive to the high temperatures generated by other methods
Advantage:
Very fast cutting operation
Not require to sharp the blade
Disadvantage:
Capital costs are high
Water is to be filtered and de-ionized
Laser cutting
In the world of industrial and technical textiles, laser cutters are often the only choice for high
production speeds on difficult materials.
There are two main advantages to laser cutters over blade cutters.
1. Laser cutter do not touch the fabric. This means that many types of difficult material can
be easily cut without problems, which could lead to waste or ruined fabric.
2. Laser cutters can edge seal fabric while it is being cut. The edge seal will stop fraying and
can eliminate a hemming or separate edge-sealing operation.
Aeronaut manufactures two ranges of innovative gantry-mounted laser cutters with either a
lightweight chassis or a heavier dual gantry chassis for carrying larger, heavier lasers
Disadvantage:
Plasma cutting
Plasma cutting machines uses a high-frequency, high-voltage spark to ionise the air
through the torch head and initiate an arc. These require the torch to be in contact with
the job material when starting, and so are not suitable for applications involving fabric
cutting
