EPX pump is the workhorse of the hydrocarbon and oil


refinery processing industry, boasting unequaled
versatility, reliability and safety. EPX pump is a horizontal
end suction pump with a top discharge, overhung,
centerline mounted configuration. It is fully compliant with
API 610/ISO 13709 (OH2) latest edition design criteria and
features and API 682/ISO 21049 compliant seal chamber.

Fully developed to meet or exceeds API 610 /
ISO 13709 (OH2) latest edition
API 682/ISO 21049 chamber accommodates a
wide variety of seal configurations including
dual pressurized and unpressurized cartridge
types for the most severe services. A full
complement of API 610 seal flush piping plans
is available
Centerline supported pump casing withstands
nozzle loads and equally distribute pipe loads
to both feet
Self venting eliminate expensive vent piping
Back pull-out design simplifies maintenance as
neither the motor or the piping is disturbed
Pump casing and cover feature metal-to-metal
fit with fully confined, controlled compression
gasket to ensure proper sealing and alignment
Suction nozzle guide vane reduces inlet
vortexing and ensures uniform flow into the
impeller to achieve a reliable NPSH margin
Precision cast impeller is dynamically balanced
to limit vibration and assure smooth operation
over wide flow range. Impeller is positively
secured by means of a set screw and a locknut,
the threads of which are not exposed to the
pumped liquid
Renewable wear rings for both the casing and
impeller reduce replacement parts cost.

BEARING
Rolling element radial and thrust arrangement
Ball thrust bearings are paired, 40 angular contact type
with machined brass cage
Bearings are mounted in a paired arrangement back-toback
Bearing life meets at least 25,000 hours with continuous
operation

SHAFT
Precision machined throughout entire length
Low L3/D4 ratio
Heavy duty shaft improves MTBR and longer seal life
Well within API 610 shaft deflection and run-out criteria

BEARING HOUSING
Standardized bearing housings are better interchangeability
Labyrinth type isolator is standard
Optional cooling fan or cooling coil for high temperature
Oil mist and oil purge lubrications are available
Dimples are located to facilitate consistent vibration
measurements

SEAL CHAMBER
Enlarged seal chamber fully meet API 610/682 standard
Accept wide range API 682 cartridge mechanical seals
Accommodates a variety of single and dual cartridge seals to minimize VOC emissions
Seal cartridge can be removable without disturbing the driver
