Introduction

Customs and traditions have always been an important part of every religion and
culture. Human civilization is incomplete without them. As Hinduism is the oldest religion on
the earth, there are a lot of Hindu customs and traditions abserved in India. Some customers
are so important for the people that sometimes, they sacrifice their lives for them. Mainly,
people living in villages in India are very conscious regarding these. It does not mean that
people living in the cities do not observe them but they are not as staunch as the people in
villages are. There are literally thousands of customs and traditions in villages are. There are
from literally thousands of customers and traditions in Hinduism. They vary from region to
region and caste. Many of them are common in all parts of India.
When Hindus meet each other, they greet each other by saying Namaste or
Namaskar. They put together the palms of both hands while saying so. They apply a spot or
standing line of kumkum between the eyebrows on the forehead at the time of worship.
Weddings are festive occasions in India extensive decorations, colors, music, dance, costumes
and rituals that depend on the religion of the bride and the groom, as well as their
preferences.
Festivals are a very significant part of Indian culture. There are many festival that
Indian celebrate such as Ponggal, Thaipusam, Deepawali, Tamil New Year and many more.
There are reasons reasons behind each festivals and their believe.
Traditional clothing of Indian greatly varies across different parts of the country and is
influenced by local culture, geography, climate and rural/urban settings. Popular styles of
dress includes draped garments such as sari for women and dhoti for men.

expression of inner beauty and the divine in man. It is a deliberate art, nothing is left to
chance, each gesture seeks to communicate the ideas, each facial expression the emotions.
Music is an integral part of India's culture.Natyasastra, a 2000-year-old Sanskrit text,
describes five systems of taxonomy to classify musical instruments. One of these ancient
Indian systems classifies musical instruments into four groups according to four primary
sources of vibration: strings, membranes, cymbals, and air.

Indian food is as diverse as India. Indian cuisines use numerous ingredients, deploy a
wide range of food preparation styles, cooking techniques and culinary presentation. From
salads to sauces, from vegetarian to meat, from spices to sensuous, from breads to desserts,
Indian cuisine is invariably complex.
There are many things about Indian culture and traditional that we can learn from our
persentation and assignmnet. We have explain a lot about Indian culture and tradisional in our
assignment so that we can explose more clearly about it.

Conclusion
Indian cultural history has been derived by the absorbing customs,
traditions, and rituals from both invaders and immigrants. Many Indian
customs, cultural practices and languages are examples of this comingling over centuries. It was the birthplace of many religious systems
like Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism which influenced not only this country
but also the neighboring countries. With the following invasion of the
Islamic rulers the culture of India was heavily influenced by Persian,
Arabic, Turkish cultures.
The 5000 years old Indian culture is both ancient and varied. But unity in
diversity which is the main mantra of Indian civilization can be seen if any
one monitors its various art forms and traditional diversity.
To conclude with, they are different aspects of the Indian culture.
Each aspect is practiced by people but not everyone believes in the
different aspects. As you can see it is a very traditional culture, everyone
has their opinion towards it, positive and negative. Therefore the Indian
Culture is a very unique culture and has various practices. Although the
youth do not believe in the traditional aspects, the culture will vary with
time and will not be traditional anymore because of the modern world. All
in all the aspects are frequently practiced but tomorrow's generation are
going to change it.
