Bes, sino ang ka-date mo sa

JS? {emphasize the word date} or mas masahol Bes, mag-aattend ba si crush?
Instagram posts be like: #OOTD #photoOftheday #aNightToRemember or for those
who do not have date #Hugot101
Im sure most, if not, all of you have posted or said at least one of these. You cannot
avoid it. You are just teens.
The indefatigable administrators, dynamic faculty and staff, the diligent students
who look so dashing and gorgeous tonight, guests, friends, ladies and gentlemen, a
pleasant evening! It is indeed my honor to join you in tonights affair.
This very special moment tonight reminds me of the time when I was still in high
school like you. Whenever the JS season comes, I couldnt help myself but to think
of what I should wear, how should I look, and who will dance with me in that very
memorable night, if there is one (emphasize). Of course, we cannot avoid being
quite ambitious because it is just once (or shall I say twice) in a lifetime experience.
It is the night that we become princes or princesses, or if we want, kings and
queens. It is the night that we have our first dance, our first date, our first puppy
love, or perhaps our true love (#harthart), and in rare cases, our first hearbreak
(#hurthurt). [Note: emphasize the hashtags]
However, JS Promenade is more than these. It is not just a night for the hearts and
for the lovers. It is not just a night of glitz and glamour. It is a night for all of you. On
a serious note, it is a night when you become mature as the Seniors turn over the
key of responsibility to the Juniors who shall accept and continue the legacy of their
elders.
For the Juniors, you shall accept the fact that your kuyas and ates will soon leave
this campus and will go on to the next step of educational journey, College. You,
Juniors, shall take over whatever responsibilities they have left as a part of your
maturity. You shall realize that you have to face responsibilities no matter how hard
they are. You have to face the hardships you may encounter on your journey
towards the realization of your goals. Remember, you will never ever win a battle
without a fight and you will never be able to cross an ocean without sailing.
(Insert something about your journey when you were in college. Share to them what
you did to survive being away from Cagayan.)
For the Seniors, Godspeed for your next journey in life. May you leave good and
long lasting legacies to the your adings that they may follow the path you have
taken.
To the (Name of the School), kudos for producing students like them. May you
continue to mold them into responsible individuals.
