Background Of The Study

For increased the energy consumption for comply the national development, various
energy resource must be benefit included nuclear energy. This case eligibility in UU No.17 years
2007 About Long Range National Development Planning and Perpres No.5 years 2006 about
Policy of National Energy.
Using Nuclear energy as a energy resource passed by Centre of Nuclear Energy Power
Plants Developmental needs several activities phase has begin started from election location
candidate, land prepared, Infrastructure tools and the operation Development (construction).
Eligibilty assesment as references in guide-book of safety IAEA in Law Government Nuclear
Reactor Follower permit, then every activities phase must be done with watch several safety
aspects as regards like safety Nuclear Power Plants from several external factor influenced and
society safety and the environmental surroundings in own candidate location.
The Election Nuclear Power Plants sites is doing by phase and in every phase have certain
values criteria. According to all series activities for got chossen sites presented in Figure 1. The
first Activities started with pre-survey with activities covering wides area but with study aspects
and very finite data for gains interest area with used public criteria. Then passed with survey
sites regional analysis phase in wides study area (150 km from interest area) for got Potential
sites with use more specifics criteria. The next phase is screening phase that is Potential sites
evaluation more details (passed with survey activities, sampling, secondary data details) in the
25 km radius from Potential sites for got selected candidate sites and then continously with
compare and increased all selected candidate sites for got preferred candidate sites. Then the
selected sites evaluated for got the base parimeters design and evaluation result is references
for arranged Site Evaluation Report which one of sites permit document. The BATAN Job as the
Research and Development institutions, only doing the activities in managing activities sites
survey ( compared and increasing phase) with the purposed for got selected sites, as a part from
goverment insentive. Sites Evaluation can be doing with the Nuclear Power Plants owner.
