THE NEW YORK MARATHON
& THE GOOD LIFE ORPHANAGE
Congratulation to Sinead who took part
in the New York Marathon recently raising funds for the Good Life Orphanage.
To date, Sinead has raised 1558.00 sponsorship for the orphanage. She
also asked that we pass on a big thank you to everyone in the parish who
has sponsored her.)
If you sponsored Sinead, but havent given the money in yet, you can do
so by ticking paid on the sponsorship form, and putting the money in the
bag on the clipboard at the back of church or popping it in a envelope
marked Marathon and put it through the Office letter-box.

St Gabriels are celebrating Interfaith Week Monday 17th November - Friday 21st November. The pupils will be learning about a
variety of world religions in their lessons during this week with the aim
to promote community cohesion.
In addition to this on Thursday 20th November at 12.35 - 1.15pm
we will be offering the pupils the chance to spend some time in prayer
and reflection in a 'Prayer for World Peace' event. On Friday 21st November at 12.35-1.35pm we will be holding a social event where pupils
can sample some food from other cultures and examine religious artefacts from world religions.
The School would welcome any parishioners from our parish to
join them for these events, but please let them know when you are visiting the school. Please contact Mrs Middleton at St Gabriels on 0161

NOVEMBER
THE MONTH OF REMEMBRANCE
and the ANNUAL MASS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE
BEEN BEREAVED DURING THE LAST TWELVE
MONTHS.
Our Annual Mass with the Bereaved will take place on
Sunday 23rd November at the 10.30am Mass. During the
Mass we will remember by name all those whose funerals
have taken place here since last November. We have written
to all the families that have had a funeral here at Guardian
Angels since November last year.
We are also always conscious that members of our
parish suffer bereavement, but perhaps
their parent or family member lived away
from here so, if you would like us to
pray for a member of your family who has
died in the past 12 months at our Annual
Mass for the Bereaved, please complete the
tear off slip below and return it to the Parish Office no later than Wednesday 19th
November (so that lists can be typed up etc).
Also, throughout the Month of November we will have our customary Book of Remembrance at
the front of Church, where you can write in the names of
your loved ones who have died, and we are all able to pray
for each others loved ones.
