Purpose and Objective

To move from a manual, labour-intensive process for employment applications to an on-line applicant
tracking system thereby reducing filing errors, lost applications and storage space.
Streamline the application process to reduce printing of resumes, and make the process more current
and efficient. Implement a hosted solution for tracking of applicants to internal and external postings.

Scope
The following are in scope:

Building layout for web applicant tracking


Roll-out to internal selection/search committees.
Training ER staff, training hiring managers
Review of ER Business processes re applicant tracking
Implementation of hosted application (PeopleAdmin)
Records kept at a Canadian site
Internal and external postings/applications
Screening of applicants using job specific qualifications
Web based distribution of applications to hiring managers
Automatic notification of application status to applicants
Technical support and unlimited change request per year
Supporting documentation from applicants
RSS feed

The following are out of scope:

Integration with Banner and external job sites (Workopolis, T-Net etc.)
Use of ranking of applicants within applicant tracking
Performance evaluation tracking module
Position Description module
Receipt of reference letters form 3rd party sources
Receipt and logging of official transcripts

Project Costs:

Capital Costs: USD 25,000 (17K hosted service, 8K implementation costs.

As the flow of applicants increases, the likelihood that auxiliary staff would be required to process
applications is likely to occur

Reach a wider audience and the capacity to process a greater number of applications by posting
Reduces paper consumption and reduces the time it takes to prepare the competition folder
