The Easter Bunny
Read the paragraph and answer the questions below
The origins of the Easter bunny can be traced to Germany.
There is evidence of this in writings from the 1500s. It was also
in Germany that the first candy Easter bunnies were made. It
was also German settlers in the Pennsylvania Dutch country who
introduced the Easter bunny to American in the 1700s. The
“Oschert Haws” would visit leave colored eggs in a nest. This
nest was made from a cap or bonnet in a secluded place. Today,
this tradition lives on today as children eagerly wake up on
Easter morning and search for the basket of goodies the Easter
bunny has left for them.
The origin of the Easter bunny and candy Easter bunnies can be traced to France.
