STUDENTS BELOW12 YEARS OF AGE:
Inpursuance of the policy of Andhra Pradesh State Government, Corporation
has implemented the facility of issuing free bus passes to all the Students
below 12years of age w.e.f. 01.02; 1984, to travel free fromthe residence to
school and back by ordinary buses upto amaximum of 20 KMsinrural areas
and 22 KMs in cities/towns, irrespective of whether the Institution is of
Government, aided or private one. Thefacilityisavailable incities / towns and
inrural areas.
TheHead of the Institution shall certify the date of birth and bonafides of the
students. Freeroute pass between residence and school will beissued bythe
nearest Depot Manager.
FREE 1'RAVELBUS PASSES TO GIRLSTUDENTS STUDYINGUPTO CLASS
X ANDBELOW:
Based on the decision of the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide letter
No.12540/Tr.III(2)/2000-1, dt.21.08.2000, Corporation has implemented free
travel facilitytoall girl students up toan upper agelimit of 18years, studying
Class X and below. This facility is extended for travel between the residence
and school byordinary services up toamaximum distance of 20KMs.inrural
areas and 22KMs.in cities / towns.
.TheStudents studying inGovernment, Government aided or private registered
school are eligible for which the.Head of the School shall certify the date of
birth and bonafides of theStudents.

slabrated quarterly route bus passes for aminimum slab of 4KMs. to22KMs.

STUDENTS OF HIGH SCHOOLS/COLLEGES IN MOFUSSIL AREAS:
Students above 12years of agestudying invarious schools / colleges, Higher
Educational Institutions, Technical Institutions including private unaided
Cooperative Junior Colleges and ITIs which are of the Government or
recognizedbytheAndhra Pradesh State Government or Central Government or
by the Government Board or affiliated to University are issued slab rated
Monthly route bus passes whose tariff is based on the distance involved, valid
fortravel bytheOrdinary buses only. Thesepasses areissued for travel uptoa
maximumdistance of 35KMs.
Thecourses shall beof full timeinnature. Thestudents shall not beinreceipt
of any stipend / fellowshipand should not havebeen employed. Theinstitution
shall have affiliation to any Board or University of the State / Central Govt.
which conducts examinations and issues certificates. The students shall
obtain certification of the Head of the Institution in the application form
prescribed and submit toobtain the bus pass fromthe nearest Unit Manager.

students whoare studying Job Oriented Courses. These bus passes arepriced

EXCLUSIVE TRIPS TO SPECIAL SCHOOLS I COL~EGES:
Corporation operates exclusive buses to special schools / colleges, where the
number of students utilizing the facility is not less than 65. This facility is
availableboth incities / towns and inrural areas.
PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED BUS PASSES:
Corporation is issuing bus passes to the Physically challenged, mentally
retarded, blind, deaf &dumb and dwarf persons to travel free by the buses
operating incities / towns. Incase of services operating inrural areas, these
physically challenged persons are allowed50%concession innormal fares in
District Ordinary, Express and Deluxeservices. Escorts toblind and mentally
retarded are allowed when accompanying them. These escorts are charged a
nominal feeof Rs.5.00 per head per month for travel bycitybuses and at 50%
concession bymofussil buses.
Theeligibilitycriteria isas follows:
1. Physically challenged, mentally retarded, blind, deaf & dumb shall
produce certificate issued bytheDistrict Medical Boardconcerned.
11. Theblind are those inwhomthe sight istotally absent i.e., loss of sight
inboth eyes.
111. Mentally retarded person is hewho is under the category of IQ-69and
below.
IV. Deaf &Dumb are those inwhomthe sense of hearing and speaking is
fully non functional for ordinary purpose of life. He does not hear /
understand sound at all evenwithamplifiedspeech.
v. Orthopaedically challenged are those who have 40 % and above
disability.
VI. Escorts for mentally retarded .and blind persons are allowed based on
thecertification of theMedical authorities.
GREATER HYDERABAD I VISAKHA I KRISHNAVENI PASS:
The General commuters, students and NGOs are issued with Greater
'f' Hyderabad passes in twin cities and Krishnaveni Darshan and Visakha
/ Darshan passes in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam cities, respectively. The
holder of this bus pass is allowed to perform unrestricted travel by city j
suburban buses operating in that city in addition to avail the facility by
ordinary buses up to the destination and vice versa for which the ticket is
purchased. The fare of this ticket is computed on the basis of monthly
suburban General bus ticket plus the fare chargeable for the additional
distance involvedthereafter.

The General Commuters in twin cities of Hyderabad & Secunderabad,

Metro Deluxe validating the holders of the pass to perform unrestricted
journeys by the services applicable for which it is valid and operating in that
city j town. The holders of superior class of bus passes viz., Metro Deluxe
General bus ticket holders are allowedtotravel byMetro Express, Ordinary up
tothevalidlimits.

FREE BUS PASSESTO YOUTH ATTENDING' INTERVIEWS :

DSCand State ownedPublic Sector Undertakings areissued "to& fro"freebus
pass for which the Government of Andhra Pradesh will reimburse the cost of
journeys infull totheCorporation.
MONTHLY SEASON TICKET (MOFUSSIL) :
Monthly season tickets are issued to the regular commuters likeofficegoers,
students, business men etc., inrural areas up toamaximum distance of 100
KMs. (20stages). These passes are of twotypes viz., Pallevelugu and Express
Monthly season tickets. The tariffs of these passes are fixed basing on the
distance thepass holder intends totravel fromonestagetoanother.
LEGISLATORS & Ex-LEGISLATORS, THEIR SPOUSE AND MPs. :
In accordance with the orders of the Government of Andhra Pradesh,
Corporation is allowing all the Legislators & Ex-Legislators, their spouse and
MPshailing fromtheA.P. totravel freebyall its services viz., City, Pallevelugu,
Express, AC Coaches. An attendant is allowed when Legislators & Ex-
Legislators, their spouse travel singly. When Legislators & Ex-Legislators, their
spouse travel together, they arenot allowedtotakeoneattendant.
FREEDOM FIGHTERS OF ANDHRA PRADESH:
Inpursuance of the policyof the Government fromtheyear 1994, Corporation
is issuing bus passes to all the Freedom Fighters of Andhra Pradesh who
crossed 65 years of ageand receiving pension either fromthe Government of
Andhra Pradesh or fromthe Central Government. The FreedomFighters are
entitled to travel inall buses of APSRTCexcept ACcoach buses viz., Garuda,
Garuda Plus, Indra, City Sheetal etc. The spouse of Freedom Fighters
although receivepension arenot allowedany freebus pass facility.
The Government vide G.O.Ms.No.142, TR&B (Tr.II) Dept., dt.05.12.20 11
directed theCorporation toextend 50%concession totheattendant of Freedom
Fighter along with the FreedomFighter. Accordingly Corporation is extending
50 %concession to the attendant of Freedom Fighter fromthe year 2012
onwards. Theattendant has nogender o~agebar.
EMPLOYEES CHILDREN:
Asawelfare measure to the employees of the Corporation, all the children of
theemployees studying in schools / colleges are extended all types of student
bus passes at an additional concession of 75 %over the rates of bus passes
charged toother students.
