5. ETDP SETAs Performance for 2012-2013
The ETDP SETA has taken a strategic decision to ensure that all learning programmes implemented are
based on the following developmental and transformation imperatives:
Race and class (85%, black, including blacks and coloureds)
Gender (60%women)
Geography (60%rural)
People with disabilities (5%)
Age (youth) (60%)
HIV/AIDS is incorporated in all our programmes
The ETDP SETA offers Learnerships, Internships, PIVOTAL programmes and part qualifications through
the implementation of 7 programmes which addresses the skills challenges and the mismatch
between the supply of and demand for skills in the ETD sector. The tables below summarise the ETDP
