INTRODUCING
The New Zealand Property Investors’ Federation Inc (NZPIF) was formed in 1983 and is the national
body of 20 individual affiliated Property Investors’ Associations throughout New Zealand. Associations
are located from Whangarei through to Invercargill.
Each of the associations is run independently, and pays a levy to support the National Federation.
The membership of affiliated Associations is growing and is currently has over 7,000 members.
Members’ investment portfolios range from one to many properties covering residential, commercial
and industrial properties. The average number of properties owned by a member is 5.
The NZPIF has a close working relationship with Government and local bodies and is seen as
a responsible and representative voice of the property investment industry in New Zealand.
The NZPIF is run by an honorary Executive Committee elected on an annual basis at the AGM.

Auckland Property Investors’ Association (APIA) is the host of the 2009 conference and therefore
we have the enormous advantage of holding this event in by far the largest population centre of
New Zealand. As well as promoting the conference to members throughout the country, APIA is
currently undertaking an extensive campaign to property investors in the Auckland region, who are
not currently members.
The conference will feature high calibre speakers who are experts in their fields. We are pleased to have
the Mayor of Auckland, the Honorable John Banks QSO opening our conference. Our star studded line
up includes the Minister of Housing, the Honorable Phil Heatley as the first speaker of the Conference,
then well known investment writers and highly sought commentators Martin Hawes and Olly Newland,
join internationally renowned American performance coach and author of The Black Belt of the Mind,
Dr Fred Grosse. Additionally South Island property investor extraordinaire Liz Harris, Structure and
Accounting Guru Matthew Gilligan, the King of Apartment Sales Martin Dunn will be speaking and
Simon Blair, CEO of Sovereign Insurance who has World Bank experience and will share with us a
fascinating global perspective of the collapse of world financial markets, and the relevance of this
to New Zealand.
We have two fantastic evening events to give delegates the perfect backdrop for some serious networking.
