Performance
For SD encoding 2G BR AM per input channel are sufficient for HD 4G BR AM per input channel are recommended. D epending on the chosen codecs, resolutions, and bit rates the processor requirements can vary substantially. R AM performance is a critical factor in HD scenarios, and high-performance R AM should be used when working with HD streams. CP Uperformance will directly affect the number of concurrent recording streams supported, along with the number of proxy formats possible. W hen storing video content, suitably selected disk or network targets must be provided. These targets must be capable of recording continuous data at the levels output from the Cinegy Capture E ngine. Performance degrading characteristics, such as network latency and disk fragmentation should be taken into account when specifying storage platforms.
Client Requirements
The Capture Control Client software can be started on any platform with the internet browser supporting Microsoft Silverlight 4. Please refer to the www.microsoft.com/silverlight for detailed information about the Microsoft Silverlight 4 system requirements.
W eb Browser Support
W indows: Internet E xplorer, Mozilla. Mac O S: Mozilla and Safari
Please note: Cinegy Capture offers a future-proof, multiple encoding engine designed to use as much computing power as you have available. This means it is possible to configure enough encoding streams to bring any system to a halt these system requirements are recommendations for recording a single high-resolution stream and a single H.264 proxy format. Cinegy Capture is capable of recording more, but careful management and planning of available PC resources is recommended! For example, an HP z800 workstation has been tested as stable recording 4x XD CAM HD422 streams.
