Love triangle eyed in shooting

Dysam and Sordan were with four others, aged 3 months to 16 years old, inside the players car when two men riding in tandem in a motorcycle fired at them on N. Domingo St., San Juan City at around 6:30 p.m. Dysam had just come from an NCAA basketball game that saw Letran beat Lyceum at The Arena. Dysam, a backup guard, had zero points.

Dysam was hit six times but survived the attack and is scheduled to undergo surgery to remove the bullets, sources said. The four others in the vehicle escaped injury. They were identified as Carl Sordan, 15, Angelo Sordan, 12, and Paulo Jay Punta, 16 and a three-month old baby. It could not be established yet what the relationship Dysam had with Sordan, 33, who died from a gunshot wound in the chest after she was brought to the hospital. A 24-hour security has been provided the Letran player who has been transferred to another hospital for security reasons. Doctors said Dysam is in stable condition. The Letran community is behind Franz in his rally. All assistance, including moral and spiri tual, is given him. He is consistently being prayed for especially by the Letran priests, the school statement said. Dysams mother had already arrived from Cebu and is with her son. According to Supt. Pnoy sona MANILA, Philippines President Benigno Aquino III on Monday urged Filipinos to help him continue with the task of transforming the Philippines as he discussed a long list of achievements on his third year as chief executive. In his fourth State of the Nation Address (SONA) delivered before the joint session of the 16th Congress, Aquino dwelled on the political changes and economic gains that took place under his administration and paid tribute to public servants who had shown outstanding work. Once, I was told: Noynoy, just begin the change. So we did, and we can all see how far we have come. Now, my countrymen, let us continue to stand arm-in-arm, Aquino said.
