Summer Schools:
Objectives: According to the formulation of objectives in the European Qualification Framework as well as in the Dublin Descriptors and being based on knowledge and understanding skills developed in a successful qualified Bachelor studies the Summer Schools have the following learning outcomes:
- (skills) specialised problem-solving skills required in research and/or innovation in order to develop new knowledge and procedures and to integrate knowledge from different fields. - (competence) manage and transform work or study contexts that are complex, unpredictable and require new strategic approaches take responsibility for contributing to professional knowledge and practice and/or for reviewing the strategic performance of teams; this includes also the ability and the competence of intercultural cooperation. - (communication) students can communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and rational underpinning these, to specialist and nonspecialist audiences clearly and unambiguously; this ability includes also the intercultural communication. a) Summer School (for master students) with certificate and with the awarding of 2 ECTS-Credits by the organizing institution in Resita/Romania Innovation Management b) Summer School (for master students) with certificate and with awarding of 2 ECTS-Credits by the organizing institution in Ljubljana/Slovenia Business Plan c) Summer School (for master students) with certificate and with awarding of 2 ECTS-Credits be the organizing institution in Bor/Serbia Strategic Management for Entrepreneurs The Summer School will be held in connection with a Scientific Student Symposium, organized by students, and the International Conference on Strategic Management at the Technical Faculty of Bor, University of Belgrade. d) Summer School (for master students) with certificate and with awarding of 2 ECTS-Credits by the organizing institution in Vlora/Albania Negotiation and Intercultural Communication

Development of Case Studies Development, composition and writing of case studies which take into consideration the challenges and environments of the respective selected South Eastern European Countries. Case studies that compare the particular frameworks / environment for starting up businesses or innovation in South Eastern Europe do not yet exist. This case study workshop is the sequel of a case study workshop at the GEA College in Ljubljana in December 2011, where the foundations have been laid and homework has been assigned. GEA College will again supervise the
further development of the South Eastern European Case Studies in Entrepreneurship an Innovation Management delivered by the participating universities. As in the previous workshop, the work of the participating professors should be supervised by an external expert (train the trainer). The case studies developed (homework from 2011) will be assessed and modified. The workshop and meeting of the editorial team Case Studies will take place in Podgorica, Montenegro.

Curriculum Development Objective is the comparison, assessment and finalization of contents of modules, in particular of the core modules for entrepreneurship and innovation which will form the compulsory modules of the planned Joint Master program. The draft for the joint master program including a structure of the modules has been distributed. For April 2012 an application of ERASMUS MUNDUS funds will be prepared. The Joint Master Program will go live in autumn 2013. Workshops for the development of the curriculum will take place in Skopje (March 2012) and Resita (November 2012). The first workshop in Skopje will also focus on finalizing the application for ERASMUS-MUNDUS funds.

Night and Day of the Entrepreneurship in Rousse According to the objectives of the STARTENT project students (master or PhD level) who are in the process of or are interested in founding a start-up shall present, explain, defend and further develop their business ideas and business models in intense discussion with their academic teachers but in particular with entrepreneurs who have already founded a new company. The objective is that they get new inputs which they can integrate in their business models / concepts. Night and Day of Entrepreneurship is a sequel of the successful Day and Night of Entrepreneurship in 2011 at the University of Rousse. The particular objective of qualification of the participants of this event is related to the European Qualification Framework respectively the den Dublin Descriptors: Students can communicate their conclusions, and the knowledge and rational underpinning these, to specialist and non-specialist audiences clearly and unambiguously.
Research: 6) Workshop for the preparation and structuring of joint research projects in Maribor or Ljubljana Empiricial research projects focusing on - Challenges and obstacles for innovation in South-East-Europe - Innovation Management and Organizational Culture for Innovation in SMEs and family firms but also qualitative research projects should be initiated and designed based on a joint research design of professors and doctoral students taking into account the country related specifics. This should allow the network partners to do comparative research considering the situation in the respective countries. The results should allow to improve the economic development in the respective regions respectively countries i.e. should produce applicable research outcome. The workshop hast he objective to develop a harmonized / standardized research design which should facilitate the intended application for research funds for research projects of many universities / countries of the Resita Net. Mid-term objective could be a Publication Series of the Network (corresponding to the academic journal).

Social Partnership in Companies Innovations require qualified and motivated employees. Social partnership in companies can significantly foster motivation of employees and boost the realization of innovation. In Germany, social partnership is compulsory in large entities / groups and enforced legally. Empirical research projects of PhD students should analyze the existing frames for social partnership in the countries of South Eastern Europe as well as the factors that have a positive impact on social partnerships. The research should include in particular on small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). This research project form spart of a larger project on European level which is run and supported by I.P.I. International Partnership Initiative e.V. Wolfsburg and Baltic Sea Forum Pro Baltica as well as INEA plus several large international groups and foundations. The European Union might cosupport the project from 2012 onwards.
The steering committee of the project consists of Prof. Dr. Peter Schulte, Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Peter Meyer-Dohm (former president of University Bochum and former head of education Training and Education of Volkswagen AG), Dr. Fritz Verzetnitsch (former Head of the European Association of Unions) and Prof. Dr. Gesine Schwan (President of the Humboldt-Viadrina School of Governance, Berlin). This project will be run as a Resita Network project without support from DAAD.

Financial support for participation at conferences organized by the universities of the network For conferences which focus on topics that are related with Entrepreneurship and Innovation (travel cost and admission fees only part of the cost are refunded). Further events: 9) Guest professorships for Master Studies: Funding is provided for guest professorships in particular re the topics Management of Growth, Innovation Management, International Entrepreneurship, Intercultural Cooperation, Project Management, Strategic Management and Negotiation, Business Concepts and Business Plan. These guest professorships can be allocated to universities in Germany or South Eastern Europe, with particular (but not exclusive) focus on universities in Non-EU countries.
10) Scholarships for PhD students (Master students) Scholarships for research will be made available for PhD students (master students) from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro at German universities which form part of the network. The acquisition of additional scholarships is planned. The PhD theses or better the research topics of the PhD students (respectively the research purposes of the master students) must correspond with the contents of the Resita Network. Alumnis of one of the network summer schools are in particular invited to apply. Major objective is to offer the junior researchers the opportunity to talk to research fellows at German Universities as well as the access to literature and data bases relevant for their research subject. We thereby fulfill the criteria of mobility of the Bologna Process 2020 (according to the London Communiqu: Mobility of staff, students and graduates is one of the core elements of the Bologna Process, creating opportunities for personal growth, developing international cooperation between individuals and institutions, enhancing the quality of higher education and research, and giving substance of the European Dimension.)
11) Guest professorship for professor from Non-EU countries The guest professorship should cover modules at German universities which form core modules of the joint master program. The objective is to generate team teaching experience with a professor from Germany. At the same time the application of the learner-centered approach should be trained which corresponds with the Bologna process. As a result lecturing / teaching quality and qualification of the professors should be improved. 12) Preparation of events of the Resita Net by project management team

Objective: The topic Challenges and Networking for Entrepreneurship and Innovation is of major interest both from a research as well as applied sciences point of view. The discussion should result in an update of lectures and curricula (e.g. by triggering new PhD research). Besides, the quality of education and the promotion of academic research and junior researchers should be improved. On top, the network partners should be able to better coordinate lectures and research and thus increase mobility of professors and students. Time: 12.-15. Objective: In the course of the various stages of the entrepreneurial life cycle there are changes not only from a resource and process perspective of a start-up but also re the micro and macroeconomic environment of a start-up. In particular macroeconomic factors such as political, economical or regulatory environments in the dynamic South Eastern European countries can result in significant challenges for entrepreneurs. The traditional strategic management tool box needs to be enlarged and adjusted in order to match the specific situation of an entrepreneur. Participants should proactively develop the skills to familiarize with, to craft and to apply methods of Strategic Management for SMEs and StartUps in order to have the suitable management tools ready for the respective stage of development, to assess the strategic options and measures and to adopt them in different entrepreneurial and intercultural contexts.
