To Whom It May Concern:
I am pleased and privileged to submit our organization narrative description as detailed
below. I do so on behalf of Dare 2 Dream Kidz Corp., its Board of Directors, and most importantly those we are dedicated to serve.
Dare 2 Dream Kidz Corp. was founded by Shenette McCoy, a mother of fourchildren. She seemed to notice that the chances of success of the economically disadvantaged children in her community were very low. She felt compelled to better the lives of the youth by empowering her ownchildren and encouraging them to serve as mentors for their peers. Shenette never knew that by empowering and encouraging her own children that may other youth who were peer of her children would grow to become successful adults and effectively give back to communities.
Jacqueline Barnes, after recognizing the same vision joined forces with Shenette in 2008. Jacquelinea single mother of one recognized the need for supportive and successful business women and role models in the community. She was driven to reach out and become involved in the success and education of the youth of today. She believes that “Our children of today are our Stars of Tomorrow”. Jacqueline understands that a positive environment and community contribute to the success or failure of our youth, and makes it her personal and collective goal to promote these goals.
Dare 2 Dream KidzCorp. is a charitable organization founded to reduce the causes and consequences of poverty and disadvantaged lives amongst youth and young adults ages 3- 20. We know that such circumstances in our society are the most common contributors to such societal problems as emotional distress and illness, substance abuse and addiction, illiteracy, homelessness, suicide, crime, child abuse and premature death.
Our basis philosophy is that if we help youth tap into the positives in themselves, we will help reduce the negatives in themselves. We accomplish this by providing an organized, supportive range of opportunities that emphasize Empowerment. Among these activities are creative writing, youth discussion groups, and empowerment speeches written and presented by youth. These activities are nurtured with the eventual goals of:
• Youth Community volunteerism

• Translating the rewards of success into giving back to other youth thorough peer mentoring In addition to of empowerment, Dare 2 Dream Kidz Corp focuses on development of arange of skills that contribute to our youth becoming better and more effective people. Our focus is on higher self-esteem, personal growth, leadership, and a commitment to the betterment of the disadvantaged communities from which they came.
