    SCENE 1 - EXTERNAL

    Outside school, by the gates. Pathway and school doors. SHOT - DESCRIPTION Max arrives for his first day of school. Using an over the shoulder shot we see him wave goodbye to his mum. MAX Bye Mum! Cut to a long shot of Max running down the path towards the school entrance to meet his friends. Cut shot to Max smiling and greeting his friends. Slow motion shot shot of Max smiling. Friend opens school entrance door as the walk into school. SCENE 2 - INTERNAL SHOT - DESCRIPTION POV shot of Maxs arm opening a classroom door. Walks in, teacher hands him work. TEACHER Complete this by the end of the lesson Max! Long shot as he takes the sheet dismisivly and walks to his seat and sit downs. Panning Shot of children in the classroom doing their work, close ups. Reaches Max, he sits there in a daze. Cut shot to the clock, Fast motion an hour. Pips Go. SCENE 3 - EXTERNAL Medium Long shot of Max running out of classroom, door slams. Cut to long high shot of Max and friends playing carelessly in the playground, cut to close ups as they play. zoom out of them playing and then cut to the year nine. SCENE 4 Establishing Shot - Max standing alone in corridor whilst people are rushing by, fast forwarding shot. Heavy eyes, smile becomes more labored.

    SCENE 5 Max walks up the corridor towards teacher. Over the shoulder two shot of teacher and max in the corridor. TEACHER What are you doing out of class again Max? MAX I Dunno.. - walks off, teacher left astonished SCENE 6 Close up of Max walking through school, walks past friends as they call his names, he ignores them. background blurred, heavy breathing - to shot how the pressure of school is starting to get to him. SCENE 7 Cut shot to Max walking home - long shot, medium close ups. Various shots of his expressions and actions. hood up, looking down at the ground and dragging his feet SCENE 8 Cut to Max walking up his drive, phone rings, he sees its his friends number but he ignores and puts it back in his pocket.long shot. Cut shot to close up of Maxs face as he pulls up his hood and puts the key in the door. SCENE 9 Max is sat cross legged on his bed, rolling a joint. this is when we First become aware that the school pressure is leading him to the use of drugs. High medium shot. Music Playing in the background MUM Max, how was school honey? Max runs hands through hair through desperation, looks at his school bag and knocks books off the bed - and starts to smoke

    - slow motion close up of the smoke coming off the joint follow the smoke rising and then fade out END OF YEAR 9 SEQUENCE SCENE 10 establishing shot - the motif shot of him in the corridor SCENE 11 low angle shot of max zipping his hoody up putting his hood up and him walking out of the room with his headphones playing. bye max as max slams the door scene 12 cut shot to max walking past school still with his hood up making it obvious that he is missing school on the regular occurrence. we see max then go to a new group of friends who have their hoods up and looking like yobs. he greets them with a badman hello. safe brother as max shakes hands with them. we then see them set off walking in a group down the hill scene 13 down the hill, on the corner he leaves his mates, puts his headphones in and walks off by his self we then hear the music kick in and then we do the headphone camera shot that follows the music and then cuts to a shot of the party. SCENE 14 faded from the black - we then see max in the middle of the party, close up shot of his face. Plying same music as before. zoom out on his face, friends on either side come onto the shot, party carries on. Flashing lights, music. SCENE 15 Outside in garden, medium two shot of Max and girl - smoking MAX You alright?

    GIRL yeah, ever tried one of these? MAX No, let me have one..

    Scene 16 Back to party scenes, Max collapses on sofa, film from different angles. camera moves back through the house, front door closes.
