The pressure begins to be too much for this young boy to handleand his life and direction demises as his school lifetime nears to aclose. In the early years of the boys school life (year 7, year 8)school is a big playground for him, he doesn't take it seriously andwe see him sweeping homework, disciplines and school work to the backof his mind allowing for him to enjoy life. (1) To demonstrate this carefree psyche the protagonist has at this point in his life, we see aslow motion shot of him throwing his bag to oor and being buried byhis friends bags as they set up a football game, this has the effectof foreshadowing what, as he grows older, will lead to his downfall inschool and ultimately his downfall in life. (2) However, the focus willquickly shift back to the care free life of this young boy and wefocus on the football game at hand, shots and the way its lmed willmake this football game appear to the protagonist as being the mostimportant thing is his life; this is all he's focused on, all he caresabout. School is insignicant. This again hints at the problems thisyoung boy will face as the work load increases in the later years inschool life. As the boy progresses through to the later years of highschool (year 9 and year 10) the pressures he once swept aside when hewas younger begin to mount up in his mind and start to take a toll onhim. The audience no longer see the young boy having fun with hisfriends or enjoying life with a smile on his face; they see the tolethe pressure that school work has had upon through changes in hisfacial expressions (3). He no longer has hunger for life. The audiencewill see a real shift in his attitude, he is no longer living life,as he was in the younger years of

Synopsis 2
After reading this section over I realised it didnt make sense so I chose to reword the passage for my re worked draft of synopsis 4. Its too wordy and becomes hard to understand wavering from the point. This substantial section I chose to completely delete when going forward into drafting my 3rd synopsis. This bit of text is largely irrelevant and does not depict the basic outline of my story; vital to a synopsis. Furthermore, I start to mention camera shots which is far to in depth for a synopsis. Here I have decided to add in detail of his facial expression in the hope it will covey better the toll that school pressure is having on him. Again, I have completely chosen to delete this section for synopsis 3 as it overcomplicates the story; when lming if we see it appropriate we can always add this back into out story line. Again, this passage is far too wordy and for synopsis 3 i have cut down the description enabling me to cut to the point more effectively which will help the understanding and direction of our short lm. Finally, i chose to completely delete this passage as it a bit of irrelevant information that

Synopsis 3
Our short lm will focus around one boys teenage life as he progresses through secondary school. However, the teenagers school and personal life begin to suffer as he grows older (1) when he begins to realize the pressure that school imposes on a young person. The pressure mounts up in his mind until his life hits a downward spiral nearing the end of the compulsory schooling system. In the early years of the boys school life (year 7 & 8) the pressure of school is almost nonexistent; he is portrayed as seeing school as just a big playground for hanging out with his friends joking and playing around. As a result of this, he doesnt take school too seriously which results in him sweeping homework, detentions and school work to the back of his mind;
Synopsis 3
1) Ive highlighted these couple of words as when re- reading i realised it didnt read in a owing manor. Therefore, i have simply re worded a few things in order to make the synopsis clearer. Ive chosen to oust this large section of my synopsis as it a bit of text that is not relevant for a general synopsis of a short lm. Even though this may be included in our short lm a detailed explanation of a particular event, I believe, is not relevant

applying little effort to them. (2) A particular shot, whilst this young boy is playing football with his friends foreshadows what will later be his downfall as he progresses through school. The shot will focus on him throwing his bag down, with little care, and it being buried under a mound of his friends bag. Out of context this shot will seem insignicant, however, it will appear as the lm goes on that he never grows out 3) After re thinking the story line of our short lm i came of this habit and it is the catalyst to his downfall. As the to realise that the event of boy progresses through high school (year 9,10) the our protagonist going into pressures of school he previously swept aside as a year 12 after we have clearly young boy begin to have more of an effect on him. The depicted him hating the audience will no longer see a teenage boy having fun compulsory school system it would not make sense for with his friends enjoying life; theyll begin to notice the toll the increased school work is having on him. His eyes will become tired, his smile will become laboured and his expression, forced. We see him beginning to miss lessons and falling into the wrong crowd. This downturn in his life carries on over to the penultimate years of school. Year 11 was very much the same for the boy; missing lessons, bad attendance, more detentions and an ever further fall in his drive for life.
(3)He makes it into year 12 but this is very much the beginning of
the end for this young boy. Although he realises he needs school it has very much gone out of the window for him. The wrong crowd he fell into during years 10 and 11 have, rather predictably, led him to abuse drugs and alcohol. He continues to distance himself from his family and old friends. A party scene at the end of this short lm tragically concludes this boys downward spiral in life which had school pressure at the heart of it.
