Mouse, the protagonis

Fo x

owl snake

One day, this mouse was ambling through the forest. It was peace and quiet then, but a hungry fox sensed the mouse and it accosted it. It threatened to eat it up, but the mouse had a witty remark that he planned to dine with a bogus friend, called the gruffalo. The fox, upon hearing this, fled because it was afraid that the gruffalo would eat him. This mouse told the same lie to the owl and snake, which both threatened to eat it and the mouse was safe. The mouse found them funny as they were easily duped.

Unexpectedly, the mouse met a gruffalo, and this time, it was real! It was so shocked; it thought it was imaginary. The real gruffalo wanted to eat the mouse, but the mouse said that it was the scariest animal in the forest. The gruffalo agreed to follow the mouse to confirm its claim. The two walk through the forest, encountering in turn the animals that had earlier met the mouse. Each is terrified by the sight of the pair and fled and each time the gruffalo becomes more impressed with the mouse's apparent toughness. The mouse threatened to eat the gruffalo, which fled as well. This is a story of how a weak mouse used his intelligence to save itself from being eaten.

this is the real gruffalo
