FADE IN. EXT. STREET - DAY The streets and sidewalks are lined with cheering, joyful people. CROWD (V.O.) I cant believe its been a full year. A full year of peace thanks to MARIO! A festive celebration is going on for the ultimate celebrity of the town, Mario. He waves from a convertible as it meanders down Main Street. The hero beams with pride as the convertible bumps over a sewer cap. INT. SEWER - DAY A depressed and defeated LUIGI slumps in the long, empty tunnel of the sewer.He reaches into the pocket of his green, ragged pants and pulls out a small bag. It is labeled by a Golden Mushroom. From the other pocket, he produces a syringe and a rubber band. As he hears the roar of the crowd cheering for his successful brother, he fills the syringe, ties off his bicep with the rubber band, and shoots up the drugs. Luigis numbed head drifts back on the wall and his eyes close. He hears a loud "THUD". The cheers from above turn to silence, then suddenly, screams. A faded Luigi ignores the noise. The sewer entrance from above is opened and an older woman with two children carefully climb their way down the ladder. Luigi puts his drugs away as fast as his drugged up mind can. OLDER WOMAN Help! Help them! LUIGI Huh? OLDER WOMAN Bowser! Bowser and his mob are taking over the town capturing everybody!

LUIGI Mario can handle it. YOUNGER GIRL Bowser took him! You have to save him and the town! EXT. STREET - DAY Luigi pokes his head out of the sewer. Fire and chaos surround him. He sees Bowsers mob chasing people, capturing them and tying them up. He steps out of the sewer and pulls a wrench out from his pocket.He sees WARIO down the street laughing, watching over the chaos. LUIGI Wario.... Luigi charges at SHY GUY who is tying up TOAD to a street lamp. Luigi tackles him, his wrench dropping to the side. He pins SHY GUY to the ground. LUIGI Wheres my brother? What did Bowser do to him you piece of shit? Shy Guy says nothing under the mask. Luigi punches Shy Guy twice in the face, cracking his mask. SHY GUY The south side....Boss took him to our headquarters on the south side. Luigi sprints to untie Toad. TOAD They are everywhere Luigi. I knew Bowser and his mob were planning a comeback but so soon and so ruthlessly? What are we to do without Mario? LUIGI Looks like you all might have to count on the fuck-up of a brother this time.

TOAD Ive always seen the potential in you Luigi. It seems like the cards just played out right for Mario. But its on you now Luigi, you are our only hope, and Im okay with that. LUIGI Ill do what I can. TOAD Wait Luigi.... Toad pulls out a little bag that is labeled by a star. There is a dash of golden powder inside. TOAD Take this. Everyone can use an edge, especially when the whole town is depending on you. Luigi hesitantly grabs the bag and examines it. TOAD Star Dust. Youll know when you will need that. When everything is going against you, use this. Now go Luigi, save your brother. Shy Guy lays there on the side, blood coming out the bottom of his mask. EXT. BOWSER HEADQUARTERS - NIGHT Two short, fat men armed with guns(GOOMBAS) in brown, mobster suits guard a door as it pours rain. A shadow runs over to the corner of the building.The two Goombas look at one another, and clumsily walk over around the corner. Fighting noises and gunshots are heard. A Goombas head smashes on the ground passed the corner, he appears to be out cold. Luigis hat drops right next to the Goombas head passed the corner. Then, silence. After a pause, Luigi appears from around the corner, picks his hat up and fixes it on his head. He then wipes the blood off of his wrench and struts through the door.

4. INT. BOWSER HEADQUARTERS - NIGHT Luigi walks up a long staircase from left to right (resembling the old NES Mario walking up the blocks).He turns the corner and starts up the second flight of stairs. MOBSTER GET HIM! Luigi looks up and sees a man running down the stairs at him. He looks behind down the staircase and sees another man closing in. Luigi dodges a punch from the top guy, grabs him and throws him into the lower man.They both tumble down the flight of stairs. Luigi turns the corner onto the third flight of stairs. WARIO Luigi my old buddy. Luigi turns around and sees Wario. WARIO I dont wanna tussle pal, just wanna talk. Luigi draws out his wrench. LUIGI Wheres my brother? WARIO Hear me out real quick, I can give you what you want. Word has it you like our product. Who am I kidding everyone likes our product. Wario snickers. WARIO That stuff sells like gold. LUIGI Im listening... WARIO What if I could tell you I could offer you all the stash you ever wanted. Not to mention what you really want, all the power and respect that your brother has. Luigi puts his wrench away in his back pocket. (CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: WARIO You could run this town as one of our main men. This town would eat out of the palm of your hand more than Mario has ever had them. Stop living in the shadows Luigi, be the shadow. What do you say, eh? Lets go talk to the boss, eh? Luigi nods. LUIGI Alright lets do it. Wario leads the way as they walk up the final stairs. WARIO I like what Im hearing from you Luigi. I knew you always had......

Luigi cracks Wario in the head with his wrench. Wario falls. Luigi steps over the knocked out Wario and opens the big black door. INT. BOWSER HEADQUARTERS - BOWSERS ROOM - NIGHT Luigi walks in and hears muffled noises. Mario sits in the corner, tied up with duct tape over his mouth. BOWSER walks out. BOWSER Luigi, where have you been? I havent seen you in too long. You look great, like youre doing real well. Hopefully not having too much fun though, that seems to be my problem as well. LUIGI Let Mario go Bowser. BOWSER Afraid I cant do that. Without Mario stopping me I run this town. My product can move freely as I just keep collecting profits, and I dont have a care in the world, that is until you walked through my door. Bowser shows his hands which had previously been behind his back. He is equipped with a pair of elegant, shiny brass knuckles. He licks a finger and wipes a mark off of a spike. (CONTINUED)

CONTINUED: BOWSER I dont like when people stand in my way Luigi. You think you came to save your brother? I was thinking more along the lines of that you will be joining him. Oh and I almost forgot...

Bowser opens his jacket again and pulls out a bag labeled with a star. It is full of gold powder. BOWSER I found this on your pathetic brother. Apparently he hasnt been playing fair and square. If the honorable Mario doesnt play fair, then I dont think Im required to either. Bowser pours some of the powder out on his finger next to his brass knuckles, and snorts it with force. He tilts his head back, closing his eyes, then tilts it forward opening them. They now sparkel with a golden glow. He cracks his neck. BOWSER WOO! I like that. Luigi takes out the bag Toad gave him and stares at it for a second. TOAD (V.O.) Everyone can use an edge. Especially when the whole town is depending on you. BOWSER You too? Both of you brothers are jokes. Luigi flings the bag of star dust to the side and charges at Bowser with his wrench cocked, ready to strike. Bowser steps to the side, taunting him. Luigi swings at Bowser, he evades it and Bowser lands a blow to his head. Luigi swings again with the wrench, landing this one.Bowser falls back. BOWSER Just like your brother, except even more pathetic. Bowser lands another blow to the face. Luigi goes down to the ground hard appearing defeated. Bowser laughs. (CONTINUED)

BOWSER YEAH! Too easy... Luigi, laying facedown on the ground, looks up and locks eyes with Mario. With a renewed surge of energy, Luigi pulls himself up. The brothers nod at one another. Luigi turns around and immediately throws his wrench, hitting Bowser square in the face between his golden-glazed eyes. Bowser goes down hard and Luigi jumps on top of him. Luigi punches rapidly over and over until Bowser is completely stiff and bloody. Luigi runs over to Mario, unbounds him, and rips off the tape. Mario immediately hugs Luigi. MARIO I knew youd come for me brother EXT. STREET - DAY The streets and sidewalks are lined with cheering, joyful people. A celebration is going on for the ultimate celebrity of the town, Luigi. The hero waves from a convertible that is meandering down Main Street as Mario waves from the passenger seat. They look honored as they take in the praise. Mario pats Luigi on the back with unmatched pride and respect for his brother. A joyful tear slowly drips down Luigis cheek. The convertible drives bumps over a sewer cap. INT. SEWER - DAY Bowser and Wario are seen lying against the wall with their eyes closed and the drugs right next to them. They wake up from the noise above, and refill their syringes. FADE OUT.
