    2009 Sub: - Seeking approval for the budget to organize The 2010 National Conference on Approaching Scholastic Horizons in Mechanical Engineering (NCASHME 2010) Reg.,

    With reference to the above subject, I would like to bring to your kind notice that, the Mechanical Engineering Department would like to organize a Two Day National Conference for the first time, in the first week of March 2010. The basic objective of the conference is to illustrate the emerging trends in the field of Mechanical Engineering. We have selected topics covering the entire gamut of Mechanical Engineering, viz., Design, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Industrial Engineering, and Mechatronics, Thermal Science and Engineering. The conference aims to provide a common platform to Researchers, Academicians, Post Graduate Students, Practicing Engineers, Consulting Engineers, Industry, as well as, all those involved in Mechanical Engineering. This National Conference includes Oral paper presentation Technical paper contribution containing unpublished work is invited from all participants belonging to groups mentioned below A panel of experts from reputed Organizations & Institutes will scrutinise the papers The main objectives of conducting this conference are 1. The conference would attract various engineering colleges in Karnataka & other states which would broadcast & popularize the brand name of the college. 2. As per the new guidelines of AICTE NBA procedure conduct of such event will fetch substantial score for the department. 3. This conference would expose our staff & students to the recent technological advancements & also serve as a platform for our staff to present technical papers which will indirectly add to strengthen the NBA requirements of our institute. 4. To provide a platform to post graduates & researchers in the field of emerging trends in Mechanical Engineering.

    5. This event would boost the interaction & partnership among technocrats, Industry Personnel, researchers & academicians of reputed organizations & institutes. Theme The theme for the conference includes scholastic horizons in the areas of (but are not limited to) Renewable Energy Technologies Alternative Fuels & Refrigerants Computer Aided Thermal Analysis / CFD Automobile Engineering Design and Manufacturing Energy and Environment Materials Performance and Integrity Dynamic, Control, Automation and Robotic Instrumentation and Measurements CAD, FEA & BEM SCM / TQM / TPM MEMS / NEMS & Nano-Technology Rapid Prototyping & Reverse Engg., Agile / Lean Manufacturing Systems Mechatronics
