To pass the exam, they are required to demonstrate competencies in the standard PC installation, hardware troubleshooting and repair, software installation, and basic networking. It is also expected that they can to give at least six occupational health and safety (OHS) that is related to computer hardware servicing.
The following are the examples of $ that is related to computer hardware servicing. O Contingency measures during workplace accidents, fire and other emergencies are recognized. O Personal protective equipment are correctly used in accordance with organization OHS procedures and practices. O Hazard/risks in the workplace and their corresponding indicators are identified to minimize or eliminate risk to co-workers, workplace and environment. O Always discharge yourself before touching any part of the computer. O e careful with tools that may cause short circuit. O ear rubber sole shoes when standing on the ground or in a concrete floor. O Always power off and unplug the computer before working on it. O hen making circuit changes, switch off and unplug the power cord from the equipment then discharge the capacitors. O #eplace only fuses with those proper rating. O Hold the components by the edges and do not touch the ICs. O #ead and follow instructions on the manual carefully. O o not use excessive force if things dont quite slip into place I hope that these examples will help those who wanted to get a certificate on Computer Hardware Servicing NC II from Technical Education and Skills evelopment Authority (TESA, Philippines) .
