The City of Jacksonville is inviting residents and transit riders to a workshop on June 29th from 4:30-7PM at the Jacksonville Youth Council's Youth Center to provide input on potential improvements to Jacksonville's transit system over the next five years. Attendees can learn about recommendations for the transit plan so far and share their own ideas by asking questions, filling out comment forms, and drawing on maps. Speak out: Jacksonville Transit Plan
Public invited to drop in and suggest improvements to the Citys Transit System Residents and riders are invited to drop-in at a workshop to learn more and speak out about the Jacksonville Transit System Development plan. The plan is to identify potential improvements to the existing transit routes, services and amenities for implementation over the next five years. The workshop will be held at the Jacksonville Youth Councils Youth Center at 804 New Bridge Street from 4:30-7PM on Wednesday, June 29. The Jacksonville Metropolitan Planning Organization, in collaboration with Jacksonville Transit and consultant Nelson/Nygaard will be hosting the event Persons interested in transit are invited to drop in at anytime during the workshop. Staff will be on-hand to discuss the plans findings thus far as well as recommendations that have been generated. They will be seeking public input. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, fill out comment forms, draw on maps and learn about the future of Jacksonville Transit. The Jacksonville Youth Center is transit accessible by riding Route A (Purple).
