LOAD ANALYSIS FOR SUPPORT SYSTEM Between Node Node 65 68 Location of Support 2.845 bar 2.

Force ------------------- (1) Area Calculating for the Forces Developed in the pipe run between Node 65 & 66 Average Pressure = P65 + P68 2 = 41.26 + 41.1 2 = 41.18 psi Now from Equation (1), we Have Force = Pressure * Area = 41.18 * 2.5 Force = 102.95 lb. ------------------- (2) = 0.458 kN ------------------- (3) From Equation (2), The Forces Developed in the pipe run between Node 65 & Node 68 are 102.95 lb. (0.458 kN) The Pipe Section Between Node 65 & 68 is supported to the I Beam Columns bolted to the Concrete base. The I-Beam used meets ASTM 36 Standard , Grade 36. Following are the mechanical specifications for the I-Beam used for support newtwork. Standard = ASTM 36 Grade = A36 Yield Strength = 250 MPa = 400 MPa Tensile Strength d(mm) b(mm) h(mm) s(mm) 100 50 90 5 Area = = = = bd-h(b-s) (50)(100)-(90)(50-5) 5,000-(90)(45) 5,000-4,050

LOAD ANALYSIS FOR SUPPORT SYSTEM Now , Stress Force ------------------- (4) Area Yield Strength for I-Beam is 250 Mpa (i.e 250 N/mm2) So, From Equation (4) Force Force Force Force = = = = Stress 250 237500 237.5 * * N kN Area 950 ------------------- (5) =

Comparing the forces in equation 3 & Equation 5, the forces developed at pipe section between Node 65 & Node 68 are very minute (i.e 0.458 kN) as compared to the load bearing capacity of Ibeam used which can withstand the forces upto 237.5 kN without failure.
