ding activities and field applications for the transport sector, Within refrigeration technology, carbon dioxide (CO2) is known
there is now a perfectly matched compressor series available by the name R744 and has a long history. It is a colourless gas

- Pressure gas temperature monitoring, PTC sensor direct filling, which is available directly from Bock. This is a synthetic
connection to the Bock MP10 motor protection ester oil with high thermal load resistance, allowing good mi-

protects the compressors against wear, even when subjected to
extreme loads, such as those which exist in CO2 systems. This
oil can be used both in transcritical and in subcritical systems.

It is almost azeotropic and behaves like a single component
It is particularly suited to air-conditioning applications, heat refrigerant – the temperature glide is very small.
pumps and industrial refrigeration systems.
However, compared to R22, R410A has a considerable higher
Condensing pressures of up to 40 bar possible pressure level. At 25 bar, it has a condensing temperature of
(=approx. 62°C condensing temperature). 42°C, whereas R22 has a condensing temperature of 62°C.
Therefore, the volumetric refrigeration capacity may be up to
50% higher than that of R22.
Special features
Suitable refrigeration oils are ester oils, such as Fuchs Reniso
As Bock compressors are extremely high quality and robust, the SE55.
coordination with the R410A is limited primarily to the motor
design together with the individual mechanism adjustments - R410A (50% R32 and 50% R125)
as well as small modifications in the valve and seal areas. - ODP = 0; GWP = 1725
This permits the greatest possible level of operational safety - Non-toxic, non-combustible
through the extensive use of tried-and-trusted standard parts. - No temperature glide
In addition, there are the best possible conditions for economic - High pressure level
spare part storage. - High volumetric refrigeration capacity

Protection principles
1.
The safest machines are machines which rule out the risk
of creating an explosive atmosphere right from the very start.
Primary explosion protection means for example using non-
flammable substitute substances. Other such possibilities
include avoiding the generation of corresponding mixtures
by suitable ventilation measures or by changing the
concentration levels.
2.
Unfortunately, primary explosion protection is frequently not
possible. For this reason, in such cases it is necessary to avoid
the ignition of an explosive atmosphere as secondary
explosion protection. This consists of using corresponding
machines, parts and materials, as well as complying with
corresponding instructions and procedures for working in
such areas.
3.
Finally, the last possibility can then only consist of limiting the
effects of an explosion to a harmless level. This can consist of
a corresponding encapsulation, for example, or cautious
selection of the erection site.

Explosion risk areas are broken down into zones and marked
accordingly, depending on the frequency and duration with
which explosive atmospheres occur:
Zone 0:

Zone 1:
The explosive atmosphere is occasionally present during Machines in group I Machines in Machines in

operation, or only briefly.

Duplex compressors are the simplest version of a parallel
installation of two compressors. The capacity can be controlled
particularly efficiently by switching one of the compressors on
or off.
Special features:
› Adjacent set up
› Each compressor has its own connection on the suction
gas side (shut-off valve)
› No separate oil-gas compensator required
› Emergency operation with one compressor is possible
in the event of a breakdown
