ADDIE model still is a model for implementing instructional products.

Most of the other

models are based on the ADDIE model variation between the models will occur according
to the user and learning goals. Instructional designer can do some changes and do it for
example by adding a maintenance component – M multimedia training development group
at BAE systems, Charleston .sc uses a modified ADDIE-M model.

ADDIE follows a structured, linear, step-by-step, progressive approach through each of the
five stages such as analysis, designing, developing, implementing and evaluating to come
up with a particular product for instruction.

In Rapid Instructional Designing process:

It follows a three step process and we can use it whenever we had a low budget.

1. Define the concepts for the learning.

2. Creating a prototype.
3. Performing.

It is a time consuming and has competing approaches when we have more than one
approach. And in this model learners will get involves in the early stage of the process
and the feedback take into the designing phase therefore the mistakes and other related
error can be corrected .learners need and expectation can be get from this approach.ter
disappointments. Therefore it will help to accelerate the development process.

Sometimes it is look like trial and error method. In the process of rapid proto typing no
one can’t make changes when the implementation going on.

That need to be discussed with the stakeholders. So, to work on a RP project, it works well
to have experience in RP or work with someone experienced in RP to understand where to
draw the line of achieving perfection while developing the prototypes.
