Agrahara Insurance Scheme for Public Officers

I would like to inform you that as a result of the discussions held by this
Ministry with the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd., the said Corporation has
agreed to re-imburse the claims in respect of the year 2003 as hitherto done.

02. Therefore please instruct all officers in your Institution insured under the
Agrahara Insurance Scheme to forward all the claims in respect of the year 2003 to
the relevant branches of the Sri Lanka Insurance Corporation Ltd. before 31.01.2004.

03. This letter is issued with the concurrence of the Sri Lanka Insurance
Corporation Ltd.

04. No action will be taken on claims submitted after 31.01.2004.

Duty Hours of Drivers of Motor Vehicles

Public Administration Circular No. 12/93 dated 07.06.1993 on the above subject is hereby
cancelled, and this Circular is substituted therefor.

(I) Drivers on duty in a five-day week should work for nine hours a day.

(II) Those on duty in a six- day week should work for seven and half hours a day.

(III) Drivers who have to work on Saturdays are allowed to cover 45 hours week by
working six and half hours on Saturdays.

02. The above provisions are applicable to drivers of all varieties of vehicles

03. This Circular is issued with the concurrence of the Treasury.
