    According to a report by G. John Richards, Prosecuting Attorney of Lincoln County, the


    following case was heard in the Circuit Court of Lincoln County before the Honorable David
    Ash on July 12, 2010.

    STATE OF MISSOURI VS. BURL DICKERSON

    Burl Dickerson, 37, of Foley, entered a plea of guilty to two counts of the Class C Felony of
    domestic assault in the second degree. The defendant received a suspended imposition of
    sentence of five years with the Missouri Board of Probation and Parole. The defendant is also to
    complete anger management classes. This sentence arose out of the events of January 29 and
    30th, 2010, in the County of Lincoln, State of Missouri, the defendant knowingly caused physical
    injury to the victim by striking her in the face with a closed fist, causing a black eye, and the
    defendant knowingly caused physical injury to the victim by choking her with her shirt and
    necklace, causing bruising and abrasions around her neck, and the victim and the defendant were
    adults who were in a continuing social relationship of a romantic or intimate nature.
