    Hopper

    A large funnel through


    which solid materials
    may be passed and
    mixed with a liquid
    injected through a
    connection at the
    bottom. The hopper is
    used to mix cement
    slurry. Combine clay and
    oil or water to make
    drilling fluid and so on.

    A device that increase


    the pressure on a fluid or
    raises it to a higher level.
    Various types of pumps
    include the bottom hole
    pump, centrifugal
    pump ,jet pump mud
    pump , hyd pump and
    submersible pump.

    Mud tank

    Portable metal banks to hold drilling mud. Mud tanks are


    used where it is impractical to dig mud pits at the well
    site.

    Mud Gun

    A pipe that shoots a jet of drilling mud under


    high pressure into the mud pit to mix additives
    with the mud.

    Electro motor mixer

    A device which converts


    fluid power into
    mechanical force and
    motion. Its usually
    provides rotary
    mechanical motion.

    A perforated pipe with a straining or filtering device (usually


    closely wound coils of wire wrapped around the pipe) to allow
    the flow of well fluids but exclude sand; a screen liner.

    shaker benefits are:1) increased
    stroke length, 2) increased solid
    trajectory, 3) Improved convey
    rate, 4)increased handling

    screen finer and faster ,6)
    improved screen efficiency and
    screen life. Deck angle of shaker
    is adjustable while drilling (AWD)
    (-1 to 10 deg) for optimizing
    shaker performance. shaker are
    designed in 3&4 panels. For
    example, fluid retention
    capability at5 deg uphill is 144
    liters for 3 panel shaker and 257
    liter for 4 panel shaker.

    Degasser

    We classify degasser in two


    group: atmospheric
    degassers and vacuum
    degassers .atmospheric
    degassers are developed
    early 1970s. In this degasser
    gas cut mud is pumped into a
    tank and the mud is sprayed
    in a thin sheet against the
    wall of the tank. The impacts
    are caused separator of mud
    and gas. In vacuum degasser
    corrugated leaf arrangement
    promotes superior separation.

    Desander

    a centrifugal device for removing sand from drilling fluid


    to prevent abrasion of the pump. It may be operated
    mechanically or by a fast-moving stream of fluid inside
    a special cone shaped vessel. compare desilter.

    Desilter

    A hydro cyclone capable


    of removing a very high
    proportion of the ultrafine and larger particles
    from a drilling fluid.

    Centrifugal separator

    A separator that removes


    immiscible fluid and solid
    contaminants that have a
    different specific gravity
    than the fluid being
    purified by accelerating
    the fluid mechanically in
    a circular path and using
    the radial acceleration
    component to isolate
    these contaminants.

    Water tank

    Is used to store
    water that is used for
    mud mixing
    cementing and rig
    cleaning.
