Clarity(Clarity)
(n) - the quality
of being clear,
in particular.

Clarity

The quality of being clear

In communication, whatever you want to
say to receivers should really be clean
an concise in short, with clarity.

Use of Precise Language and Familiar

Language
Examples:
Too Long, too deep:
I had read an article on the internet that
was indeed, satirical.
Use this instead:
I read a ridiculous article in the internet.

When talking to people not of your

wavelength, make sure to use simpler
terms while explaining:
Too vague:
Do you understand the concept of sales
populi est suprema lex ?
Much Better:
Do you understand the concept of the
welfare of the people is the supreme
law?

Observe the following elements in clarity:

Length
Example
Too wordy:
It seems to me that it does not make sense
to allow any bail to be granted to anyone
who has ever been convicted of a violent
crime.
Just Right:
Bail should not be granted to anyone who
has ever been convicted of a violent crime.

Unity
Examples:
The main idea must have a connection
with all your succeeding phrases.
Confusing:
The eagle soars high and the bees revolt
in the heat of the sun.
Much Better:
The eagle soars high in the heat of the
sun.

Coherence
The Quality of the sentences in a paragraph when all parts and ideas
are clearly connected.
Example:
Poor Coherence
The power to be heard, the power to decide and, ultimately, the power
to shape events. For a politician, power is the name of the game. A
politician without power is like a yachtsman with no wind becalmed,
bemused, going nowhere.. Without power, what use are policies?
Good Coherence
For a politician power is the name of the game. The power to be heard,
the power to decide and, ultimately, the power to shape events.
Without power, what use are policies? A politician without power is like
a yachtsman with no wind becalmed, bemused, going nowhere..

Emphasis

Gives force to the important parts of a

sentence.
Use and, but, for, so, nor, yet.

Examples
Little Emphasis: The train was travelling so
fast that it derailed.
Better Emphasis: The train was travelling at
speeds in excess of 160 Kilometers per hour
and it became derailed.

Little Emphasis: Employers should

oversee that the needs of their
employees are satisfied in order to
maintain good morale in the office.
Better Emphasis: The needs of the
employees are the main priority of the
employers for them to maintain a happy
workforce.
