Question 1

What are the education path and qualifications necessary for a career in the
education/training field in which you are Interested?

According to EarlyChildhoodTeacher.org, kindergarten teachers


must have a bachelor's degree in education. Some states require
teachers to have a degree in a specific area, such as English or
history. In some instances, a master's degree is required and
depending on what school district you are in some are paid a
higher salary with one. In addition, teachers must be licensed by
the state, also known as state certification.

Please list a sample job description for your ideal education/training career.
Kindergarten teachers teach the basics of math and reading. Kindergarten is
the first year of formal education that is to get them ready for future schooling
and the childrens ages are 5 & 6.

What skills are needed for this career?


The thought of being able to teach children and make a difference in heir life
makes me very happy and want to continue teaching more children making a
difference in their lives as well.
What is the current and future job outlook for this career?
The future will remain steady for kindergarten teachers. Jobs are expected to
grow 6% between 2014 and 2024, about average with overall job growth.

Question 5 and 6
Mentorship is a big component in education/training job sustainability. Who could be a
mentor to you and what other measures could you take to ensure a long, enjoyable, and
successful career?

Someone that would be a good mentor for me and is


currently mine right now is Lindsay Church. I will need to
continue to be a teacher cadet for her kindergarten class for
the rest of my junior year and from her I can get ideas on
what to do and what not to do to become a successful in the
future.
What are the entry-level positions and opportunities for professional advancements
in this career field?

Extended role teaching, department head, school


administrator, and professorship

Why are you personally interested in this career?

I think being a kindergarten teacher would be a great job for me in


the future because of my creativity, my love for children, me
enthusiasm, organization, and my communication skills with people.
What personal skills and learning style do you have that indicate that you might be suited for this
career choice?

I have taken the 16 personality traits test and I came out with bring
the ENFJ witch is The Protagonist. Protagonists are natural born
leaders, full of passion and charisma. Protagonists are known for
becoming politicians, coaches, and teachers. We enjoy taking a
great deal of pride and joy in guiding others to work together to
improve themselves and their community.

Describe what appeals to you about a career in education or training?
