    are some examples of the Valentines Cinquain
    poems that we wrote.

    This week in Language


    Arts we created antique journals to go along with a novel
    we are reading, Blood on the River. This novel is set in 1607,
    Jamestown, the first English colony in the New World.
    We are going to be writing in these journals from the point
    of view of a boy named Samuel, the main character in the
    story. We are also going to be learning about foreshadowing when writing in our journals, warnings the author gives
    us about events to come.
    In Social Studies we are moving into colonization in the
    New World which goes along with the novel we are

    reading.
