    The choir director provides an update on upcoming events in February and March, including rehearsals, concerts, and a music festival. A rehearsal will be held on February 27th at Paynter Elementary from 9am to noon. On March 2nd, the choir can attend a rehearsal for the Harrison Middle School musical. The choir will perform with the PES choir in a concert on March 8th at Whitehall Elementary to celebrate Music in Our Schools month. Five students were selected to represent their school at a music festival on March 4th. The director thanks families for their continued support of the music program.

    Choir News & Notes

    February 2016
    Dear Choir members & families,
    Hello again! It is hard to believe that January is over and we are into February already! We have
    several happenings this month (and early next month) so please read below.
    Saturday, February 27, 2016~Rehearsal at Paynter Elementary, 9:00am to Noon
    This rehearsal will run very similarly to our November rehearsal at Paynter. Please look for an RSVP to
    come in the next two weeks. There is also an online version if that is easier (on my website).
    Wednesday, March 2~Harrison Middle School Musical Theater, right after school
    Are you interested in attending this rehearsal? Please read and complete the attached sheet regarding this
    opportunity.
    Tuesday, March 8~Music in Our Schools Month Concert at Whitehall Elementary, 7:00 pm concert
    We will perform with the PES choir to celebrate music in our schools! Come one and come all to hear a
    preview of all of the groups spring performances as well as a combined piece with our guests!

    Please remember that Pirate ticket orders are due at the end of the month.
    Also, a congratulations to the following students who will be representing WES at the PMEA Sing Fest West
    event to be held at Baldwin High School on March 4, 2016: Ava Ipolito, Kay Lindefelser, Cadence Morton,
    Joey Priano & Julie Puff. These five 5th graders will join 125 other singers from around the area to share in a
    day of terrific music making culminating with a performance in the evening! We know you will represent us
    well! Much luck! Anyone who wishes to see their performance may join us at the high school on March 4 at
    7:00 pm. Tickets are $5 at the door.
    I also wanted to take a moment to thank you for your continued dedication to our group. Your support is
    more important than you can know, and speaks volumes to the kids. I tremendously appreciate commitment
    to the music program here at Whitehall!
