1. Bellicose: Adjective- inclined or eager to fight
The bellicose man walked around the bar asking to brawl.
2. Benefactor: Noun- a person who makes a bequest or endowment, as to an
institution
The companys benefactor helped them to thrive in their business.
3. Benighted: Adjective- intellectually or morally ignorant or unenlightened
A very long time ago, the people were benighted as they couldnt tell
right from wrong.
4. Benign: Adjective- having a kindly disposition
She decided to have a conversation with the nice, benign man.
5. Bigot: Noun- a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or
opinion
The only bigot in the room is easily noticeable and not many people have
spoken to him.
6. Bizarre: Adjective- outrageously or whimsically strange
She is quite the bizarre person as shes now walking around with a squid
plush on her head.
7. Blatant: Adjective- brazenly obvious
The woman stared at him in shock as he finally confessed his blatant love
for her.
8. Bleak: Adjective- bare, desolate, and often windswept
She gazed around, taking in her bleak surroundings.

She was blithe in her actions and general happiness for the season.

When we were in Alaska we didnt see any whales breach but we saw
quite a few flukes.

I went out on a brisk jog this morning and enjoyed the cool air.

We store all of our finest wines in our cache in the basement.

The school photographer took a candid photo of the group eating for the
yearbook.
15. Capacious: Adjective- capable of holding much
That is a very capacious container and it can store a lot of food.
16. Capricious: Adjective- subject to, led by, or indicating a sudden, odd notion or
unpredictable change
She is such a stable and reliable person that I didnt expect for her twin to
be so capricious.
17. Capsize: Verb- to turn bottom up
The infamous ship, the Titanic, did not capsize, it just sank.
18. Cascade: Noun- anything that resembles or is a waterfall
The was a cascade of vines hanging down off the wall.
19. Chaff: Noun- the husks of grains and grasses that are separated during threshing

20. Chastise: Verb- to criticize severely
He was chastising her about the clothes she was wearing as to him they
were inappropriate.
