6. What is the significance of the key that the Palestinian boys grandmother
gives him?
The grandmother had lived there and it was a promise that they would be
back to the land that belonged to them.
7. How are the Palestinian children different from the Israeli children? How
are they similar?
Theres not so many differences, they are children and they understand the
conflict but they dont want the war to continue, they like to play and they
dont think about war all the time, they want peace so they can grow up and
have a better life. They have different religious beliefs and they defend their
religion but they share different points of view.
8. How are these children different from the way you were when you were
their age? How are they similar to you?
I think the situation they are going through affects them psicologically.
When I was younger I didnt know a lot about wars and these children have
to live with it daily so I think it really affects their childhood and even
though they play and they have distractions, they are fully emerged in a very
violent environment.
9. Based on this video, why do you think Palestinians would not want to
simply divide the land into two countries? Why do you think Israelis would
not want to allow Palestinians to become Israelis?
Because of religious reasons, both groups have very complicated points of
view regarding this subject and they strongly believe that the land belongs to
them. They have different religions but the holy places are the same for both
groups so this is what makes it even more complicated.
10. Write down at least 5 questions that occur to you during the film.
Why do they hate each other so much?
Why is it so difficult for Israelis to recognize Palestine?
What is the role of the US in this conflict?
