    PROCEDURE FOR FABRICATION & INSTALLATION OF

    PIPING SYSTEM ON BOARD THE SHIPS.

    Following stages defined for work on piping system in the ships: Line out marking and inspection
    Installation of penetration fittings (shell side, tanks, bulkheads &

    decks)
    Installation of valves and fittings.
    Fabrication of pipes (ferrous/non-ferrous) and inspection
    Welding/ brazing and cleaning.
    Pressure testing of pipes.
    Pickling / cleaning / galvanizing / blanking of open ends.
    Installation
    Inspection & Testing system & defect rectification.

    FLUSHING
    It is done to remove any dirt particles settled on the

    inner surface of the pipe. this is done using flushing oil


    and flushing pump.
    Further to prevent any scale and rust to form on the
    inner surface of the pipe preservative oil is passed after
    flushing.
