    Opposites

    This week we learnt:


    Circle Time Review

    Activity Time

    Evaluation:
    This week in circle the students
    reviewed the words big/small,
    loud/quiet, heavy/light, dirty/clean,
    happy/sad,
    short/tall,
    yes/no,
    fast/slow and girl/boy. The students
    did an amazing job at remembering
    all the vocabularies so we played
    games including four corners. to keep
    the review fun.
    This week we also reviewed
    numbers. The students can count to
    20 but get mixed up with numbers in
    the teens so will continue to review

    Phonics

    Evaluation:
    This week the students learnt in/out, up/down, left right and wet/dry. The students
    knew up/down from previous lessons. Left/right and wet/dry the students learnt
    this week and did really well to remember these vocabularies. I will continue to use
    these vocabularies in circle time next week and around the classroom as they are
    good vocabularies to use in and around the classroom.
    Games: Fast flashcard collecting The students really enjoyed playing this game
    and we will play this game next week as a fun review! We also did the sensory
    activity Hot, cold, dirty and clean Using four containers the students were
    blindfolded and had to put their hands in the different containers and had to guess
    which is what! The students had great fun playing with this activity and will do
    some other activities in the future.

    Evaluation:

    The students did a really great job


    of remembering the ABCs verbally
    but can find it difficult to recognise
    the letters. So we will continue
    practice letter recognition using the
    EP Phonics books. We will also
    play games using smaller groups of
    letters so the students will have the
    chance to recognise letters.

    New Letters and Sounds

    Evaluation:

    There were no new sounds this week. Please refer to the phonics activities section
    for more on what Sunny did with phonics.
    Writing Practice

    Evaluation:

    The students wrote in their number books this week, the number the students did
    this week was number 8. The students did really well to follow all the instructions
    and do the correct work in their workbooks.
    This week the students did better in their EP Phonics activity books due to last
    weeks practice.
