Simcoe County Special Needs Strategy

Invitation to Have your Voice Heard

this is an opportunity for families, service providers,
front line staff, educators and youth to have input
in what the future can look like for Simcoe County!

Families of children and youth with special needs, including physical, developmental and/or communications needs, can have
difficulties receiving services in a timely and coordinated way. Ontario is working to improve how families access the services they
need, as close to home as possible.

Please join and help us as we develop a new way of delivering services that will:

place the needs of children, youth and their families first

help children and youth get timely and effective services they need at home, at school, in the community, and as they transition to
adulthood
connect children and youth to the services they need as early as possible and improve the service experience of families

You can have your say in participating in one or all of the following ways

in person focus groups where families, service providers and educators can come together in a face to face format
youth webinar
on-line survey (English, French and FNMI specific)
discussions will occur at local, established youth groups
