    THE HISTORY OF FOOTBALL

    HOW OLD IS FOOTBALL?


    Its very, very old! In fact, the first forms of football came from 1004 B.C.
    in Japan, where players kicked a ball around in a small field. About 50 B.C,
    the Chinese played a game kicking a leather ball filled with air. Later on, the
    Romans played something similar to our present football in the early Olympic
    Games but there are not many written records about it.

    2014 FOOTBALL WORLD CUP


    The world cup will be played in Brazil. The tournament will start on June 12th
    and end on July 13th. Apart from Brazil, 31 national teams have qualified
    from their respective continents to take part in the competition.
    The 64 matches of the world cup will be played in 12 different cities:
