Observation Evidence:
St are
working at a voice level of "0". T has timer on the board. St have 6:00 left to complete their writing task. T HAS A WORD WALL WIRH
STUDENT CREATED/WRITTEN WORDS, BUT A WORD IS MISSPELLED. Please remove the missiles word from a word wall. T directs st to take
out an AR book and read if they are finished. T announces they have 4 minutes left to finish. T again states time remaining. Advises st to take out AR
and read if they are finished. St remain on task and work quietly. Timer sounds. T says all expository paragraphs should be completed. We are first
books
sharing
with two st. T CHAMPS the expectation of this activity. T gives the st 8 minutes to share their writing with their face and shoulder partner. St
immediately begin to share with their neighbor. T resets the timer to 8:00. T walks throughout the classroom listening to st stories and guiding the

conversations.
St are asked to choose the best paragraph from each group to read aloud to the group as others listen. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF
STUDENTS
READING THEIR PARAGRAPHS ALOUD? St listen quietly.

Please complete the teacher reflection section within 48 hours of receiving this document and email it back to your
observer. We will meet to discuss your observation.
Please explain lesson objectives and anticipated learner outcomes of the lesson.
The students will be able to analyze advertising for commonly used products and identify their target buyers. Evaluate and write an expository paragraph
about
the impact of celebrity endorsements on product purchases.

How was this lesson modified for different learners?
looked through different examples of advertisements and choose which one to write about.
Students

How often was the objective shared with the students? Beginning? Middle? End?

Objective
was shared at the beginning of class, subtly before we started our main assignment of the day and as closure at the end.

Why do you feel that the needs of all learners were met?
that most every student met the learning objective today, but I will again assess this skill later in the unit to see if everyone retains the skills.
I feel

Would you do anything differently if you were teaching this lesson again tomorrow? Why? Why not?
try to use another method of differentiation, perhaps an online scavenger hut for advertisements that use celebrity endorsements. That might be an
I would
activity
that the students may find more fun, and learn at the same time.
