You are part of the chemical engineering operations team of a manufacturing company, and the Director of the company has instructed you and your team to carry out a thorough assessment of key operations within the company from a sustainability standpoint. In a group of 3 chemical engineers: 1. Nominate any manufacturing company of your choice, identify the upstream and downstream operations and rationalize the requirements for these operations. The company can be based in Malaysia, Australia or global (20%). 2. Identify 9 major operations/activities within the company and categorise under social, economic and environmental operations (three for each). (20%) 3. Assess each of these operations in relation to sustainability requirement (25%). 4. Suggest mechanisms to improve the social, environmental and economic aspects of the company as identified in 2 above (20%). 5. Produce an assessment of your teams effort including the percentage contribution of each member (5%). Note Writing skills, referencing and formatting will take 10%. Referencing - Chicago style.
