INTRODUCTION
A. LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Understand the Courses Description and
Aims.
Understand the role of Basic Sciences
toward the development of knowledge in
Biomedical Sector.
Have a better perspective on the holistic
approach as guidance to implementing
basic sciences principles in biomedical
sciences.

INTRODUCTION
B. COURSE DESCRIPTION
Biomedical Sciences Courses will comprise 3 (three)
basic sciences subject (Biology, Chemistry, and
Physics) into one single holistic and comprehensive
sciences course.
The chemistry topics will cover such topics as: the
role of chemistry in nature, chemical equilibrium and
its implication, macromolecules, and chemical
energy. Further, the Physics area will cover a
principles of biophysics which including
bioacoustics, bio-optics, and wave.
The last part, Biology section will explain about the
role of cell as basic important units of human life,
and biogenetical principles and its application on the
human life.

D. LEARNING STRATEGY
As becoming university policy to implementing SCL
(Student Centered Learning) in almost courses,
Biomedical Sciences also using that approach with
some variation. The learning process will include a
teaching part, in order to emphasize the basic
concept of every courses subject. These process
then will following directly with a small group tutorial
and a panel discussion in order to get a same
perception and understanding of the concept. The
practical skill laboratory, however due to the
laboratory renovation will be carried out on the
simulation mode which was designed to
implementing the concept that already given in the
class.
INTRODUCTION
F. EVALUATION
Evaluation of Biomedical Sciences Courses will involving :
Student Presence
Tutorial activities
Home works
Practical Lab Simulation
Final Examination
