    THE BASICS

    LIGHT: Infrared light is a small part of the


    light spectrum.
    Infrared light can be split into
    three categories:

     Near-infrared (near-IR)

     Mid-infrared (mid-IR)

     Thermal-infrared (thermal-IR)
