Course Description:
This course focuses on the development of leadership skills used in managing a successful business. Students will analyse the role of a leader in business, with a focus on decision making, management of group dynamics, workplace stress and conflict, motivation of employees, and planning. Effective business communication skills, ethics, and social responsibility are also emphasized.

They must be handed in on or before the due date specified, and due dates will only be negotiable under extenuating circumstances. No assignment will be accepted after the assignment/project has been returned or after 5 days pass the due date, whichever comes first. Assessment & Evaluation: According to Ministry policy the primary purpose of assessment and evaluation is to improve student learning. It will be based upon the provincial curriculum expectations and the achievement levels outlined in the secondary curriculum policy documents. Assessment is the process of gathering information from a variety of sources such as assignments, demonstrations, projects, learning skills, etc. Evaluation is the process of judging the value of the students work on the basis of established criteria and assigning a value to represent that quality Attendance and Punctuality Please make attending this class and being on time a regular habit. Absence is permitted only for valid reasons and is governed by school policy. Dont be afraid to ask questions and dont be afraid to answer them either. Your level of participation can affect your mark! Homework You are expected to complete all homework which is assigned. There may be periodic homework checks during the semester and these will account for a portion of your final mark.
