A reflection on the tone of
voice, range, and vocal style
of each singer
The song are very emotional. Avril Lavigne is a
soprano and it's voice and tone is strong and has
good control of dynamic changes. Its singing style
is like rock and is quite different than the Gospel
singer and Art song singer.
Throughout the song Cecilia Bartoli's
diction is keen with high
voice ,appropriate dynamics and
shadings of words.
She project joy in the song and also
changes emotionally in her
performance. Her tone is very nice,
She has an Impressive musical range, good
control of tone and with full of joy and
impression on her face during her
performance. Her voice is powerful , but I
don't think she is a Soprano as she has a
solid low register and her timbre is
deep.(she can also sing high with her
voice)However, I think she is more like a
Mezzo .
