This document provides instructions for flying a 15 DME arc approach using the Gomat A arrival route, including turning points defined by radial and distance from the VPL navigational aid and headings to fly between those points while descending to the final approach altitude of 2000 feet. Pilots are directed to monitor their bearing indicators and CDI readings and make turns as specified to accurately follow the arc-shaped route before intercepting the localizer for their final approach.

How to fly 15 DME Arc on Gomat A Arrival
Assuming No Wind Condition
Note: DME Arc is normally flown by a series of straight segments, each segment is 10 degrees wide at the facility. 1. Fly radial 155 VPL to TANOB maintain 5000 2. At 16 DME turn left heading 250 3. Set CDI 1 to 360 4. Bearing 1 & 2 will indicate 340 magnetic 5. Fly heading 250 until Bearing 1 & 2 falls onto 345 6. Start descend to 3000 with 500 feet per minute 7. When Bearing 1 & 2 reaches 345, turn right heading 260 8. Fly heading 260 until Bearing 1 & 2 falls onto 355 9. When Bearing 1 & 2 reaches 355, turn right heading 270 10. Deviation Bar will move into center shortly 11. Set CDI 1 to 028 and continue descend to 2000 12. Fly heading 270 until Bearing 1 & 2 falls onto 005 13. When Bearing 1 & 2 reaches 005, turn right heading 280 14. Fly heading 280 until Bearing 1 & 2 falls onto 015 15. When Bearing 1 & 2 reaches 015, turn right heading 290 16. Fly heading 290 until Bearing 1 & 2 falls onto 025 17. When Bearing 1 & 2 reaches 025, turn right heading 300 18. Fly on that heading until Deviation Bar moves to center 19. Maintain 2000 and turn right heading 004 to intercept localizer 20. Press NAV 1 Flip-Flop key to select 110.7 ILK 21. When Localizer Bar starts move, call 'Localizer Alive' 22. Intercept Localizer as required
