Emcee Script For A Wedding Reception
Alright, Good Morning everybody. Today calls for a day of celebration. I am extremely delighted that all you are here to celebrate this important milestone in Reagan and Lovelys lives. Im your host for this morning and I welcome you here in Luntian Resort for Garcia and Cornejo Nuptials, lunch wedding reception.
**** We are done with the solemn part of the celebration and in behalf of the newlywed, we thank those particular people who were with us earlier at the San Vicente Parish Church for the wedding ceremony. And for those who just join in, Welcome!
**** Before anything else, I would like to acknowledge the key persons who took great part of this joyous affair. For without their support, this event would not be possible. Ladies and Gentlemen, it is with great pleasure to introduce to you the parents of the Bride and Groom, Mr. Marcial Medrano Garcia and Mrs. Josephine Iglas Garcia and Mr. Marciano Amparo Cornejo and Mrs. Lenie Trinidad Cornejo.
**** And now, may I introduce to you the people who stood witness to the couple as they took their vows: The Principal Sponsors (Read the names in the wedding invitation).
**** We would also like to acknowledge the following people who have also played significant roles during the ceremonies: The Secondary Sponsors (Read the names in the wedding invitation).
**** And finally, may I request everyone to stand up as I introduce the newlyweds. Ladies and Gentlemen, the very reason why we are all gathered here today. Without further ado, It is with distinct pleasure as I
present to you the newlyweds, Mr. and Mrs. Reagan and Lovely Cornejo. Lets give them a warm round of applause.
**** The guidance of the Lord is for always the best thing we should consider, may I request everybody to please rise for the prayer.
Please bow down our heads and put ourselves in the presence of God. Heavenly father, Love has been your richest and greatest gift to the world. Love between a man and a woman which matures into marriage. Today, we celebrate that love. Lord for the joy of this occasion, we thank You. For your presence here and now and at all times, we thank You. Protect, guide and bless Reagan and Lovely and everyone present here. Surround us with Your love now and always. First Dance of the Newlywed.
**** Dove Release The two doves signify Reagan and Lovely being released to start a new life and journey together. Like two pairs of dove, whatever happens they will always try to seek the comfort of each other. A dove always chooses only one mate for life and signifies love, faithfulness and hope.
May I have the newlyweds please and release the dove in my que. Lezzdudiszz!
**** There we have it ladies and gents, Lunch is served. Everyone is hereby invited to partake lunch. You may now feel free to get your food at the buffet table, and please, enjoy your meal. Thank you!
**** Alright, so lets move on to our next stop. A wedding is not complete without traditions. The first one must be the cutting of the wedding cake.
Cutting of Cake May I request Reagan and Lovely to prepare for the cake ceremony. The cake, which has been a part of wedding celebrations since the Roman times, it is a symbol of good luck and fertility. The sharing of this food symbolizes the couples willingness to fulfill each others needs, creating a bond so simple and yet so strong.
**** Wine Toast Our next tradition is the wine tossing. Raising a glass together is a way for everyone to share in wishing good health and happiness to the newlyweds. As the wine is poured, our newlyweds now make wishes for their good fortune, a better future and the best life possible for them. Lets join them in their fervent wishes through good fellowship and camaraderie, love and happiness.
**** Tossing of the Bouquet or Bouquet Throw At this time, may I request all the single ladies to please come over for the bouquet throw. We would also like to request the bride to come forward and take her place at the center.
Ok so ladies, take your place behind the bride and be prepared to catch the bouquet. It is said that whoever will catch the bouquet will soon to be the next bride.
Alright. Everything is fine. Audience, may I request you to join me in counting okay.. Ready, 321 and Go!
May I request for the lady who was able to catch the bouquet to please come forward and join me here. Congratulations and may I have your name please? Ok so lets give a big hand to Miss______. Please have seat beside the bride and in a moment we shall match in the garter toss.
**** Retrieval of the Garter/Tossing of Garter This tradition has been done over the years and is meant that whoever catches the garter will be the luck guy to get wed. Lets have a game, and its called pass the garter we will play music and as the music stops, whoever is holding the bouquet, is the lady guy.
****

Below is a reception party script I used in one of the Christian Weddings I have hosted.
Joel and Iby Introduction: God is love and in some mysterious ways drawn two people together in love. Today, love has triumph and has manifested in the lives of (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name). Today, we have witnessed the promise sanctified and blessed by the mighty source of love Jesus Christ.
I welcome all of you to this banquet. This is a festivity of union. Two separate individuals have found each other, tie the knot to become one we therefore have to celebrate. Good morning. I'm ( Lorenzo M. Caballes, Jr.) , I'm your host.
As we partake the bounties (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name) have prepared for us, let us invoke the presence of the Lord and thank HIM once more for His constant provision. (Prayer Leader) will say the grace before meals.
The bond of marriage is a symbol itself. God created marriage as a symbol of His infinite love to his people, that we may also share it with our family and to others.
In the same manner, a matrimonial ceremony would not be complete if without the observance of several wedding traditions. As we formally send off (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name) to their voyage bound to the next chapter of their lives as husband and wife, there's no other way of wishing them well but to pray for a smooth travel. Let our prayers be heard as we perform several matrimonial traditions in a unique Filipino way.
Slicing of Cake:
The cake is a symbol of a happy married life that the couple would enjoy from this day forward. Let us pray that (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name) will continue to share the sweetness of love, that they will continue to live together with their hearts pure of joy in serving the Lord as husband and wife and as a family.
Sharing of Wine:
The wine that the couple is about to share is a representation of life's adversities. Life indeed is not a bed of roses, as (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name) drink the wine, they affirm their pledge of loyalty and fidelity even in the most trying times of their married life. Let us pray that during these moments, they will cling to no one but to the Lord, the very foundation of their love.
Releasing of Doves:
The doves symbolize freedom and commitment. The release of these doves would symbolize (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name) letting go o their single life. Let us pray that like the doves, they will commit themselves to come home at the end of the day no matter where their footsteps take them.

Before we depart, here's for (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name) and for all of us: Marriage is not a ritual or an end. It is a long , intricate, intimate dance together and nothing matters more than your own sense of balance.
Congratulations and Best Wishes, Mr. and Mrs. (Groom's Name) and (Bride's Name).
